Trainer Jeff Mayweather, uncle of WBC/WBA welterweight and junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., says his nephew's legacy is secure with or without a fight with career rival Manny Pacquiao.
Jeff says plenty of the all-time greats had a career rival they never faced in the ring for one reason or another and his nephew, a five division world champion, is no different.
Talks continue to make a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight for May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

this version of manny is not the manny he needs bc if manny was floyd and floyd was manny no one would be saying fight floyd..its just a casual fan perception of good vs evil..they want evil to fall so bad..and for some reason they think this guy who only beat floyd's left overs, with sereval weight stipulations and other things behind it, can be the guy to make him fall...its honest if floyd had been ko'd nobody would watch him u want to know why..they say he is only followed bc of his "0"...so jeff in a way is right, but fans perception, which is not everything bc of its bias, says he needs mannyComment

Actually guys when you think about it Jeff is right. Without Manny Floyd's legacy is already decided. Floyd is a Coward, A very talented coward. That is the reason he is not regarded as an ATG. Who's fault is it?? FLOYD'S himself. Manny Paquaio will always be considered the superior by all unbiased fight fansComment

Uncle Jeff is correct to a certain degree...
Mayweather & Pac legacies as far as being future hall of Famers & all time greats are secure with or without this fight happening...
NO ONE Thinks Floyd is TBE & that won't change win or lose...The same holds true for Pac...Their respective legacies are etched in stone...This fight is probably happening 5yrs too late to effect any unbiased historical placement...Comment
