Why has Arum been lying about negotiation? Lying is not negotiating.

My take is Pac was being lied too, after meeting with Mayweather Pac put Arum under pressure to give Mayweather 2 very simple requests. No Jim Lampley and no 24/7 or All Access, those are 2 very simple request.

It is no coincidence that Arum is no longer saying we have agreed to everything we are just waiting for Floyd to sign a contract.

Arum is now saying the fight looks close we are drawing up papers.

    Very different.
Negotiating is negotiating. It doesn't mean HBO give in to everything the Showtime side want, it's give and take.

Arum may well have been trying to put public pressure on Floyd to move faster but trying to blame Arum for broadcast issues is tenuous, it's not in his interest.

    Rafael spoke directly with Koncz:

Koncz said Pacquiao and Mayweather also discussed other issues but that the broadcasting items were "the majority of the discussion.

Just some ransoms thoughts on this fight

      - Fight wont be announced during the Super Bowl probably between 16 - 25 of February

      - Floyd wants All Access not just because it's Showtime but because he's one the executive producers and probably wants the rights to the film. That footage alone is probably worth some good $$$

      - Lampmey shouldn't be doing the broadcast. He's a legendary announcer and has the ability to Enhance the fight but he can also alter the Percieved reality of whats going on. He's way too biased for PAC, Every punch Manny throws Lampmeys going to be like **** **** and won't give Mayweather any credit. I mean his show now is pretty much just Mayweather / Haymon bash session. Plus he's a douche

        4.5 million.

A drop in the proverbial bucket with the money that will be generated by this fight if by some miracle they do air a commercial claiming the fight to be reality.

I do see your point with there being more **** for the buck ways of making the announcement, but here in the states, it gets no bigger then the Super Bowl as far as eyes watching. By a far margin.

I'm not a Lampley fan anymore, but if he is cut on those grounds then Paulie should be too because he hates Pacquiao as much as Lampley loves him.

Why can't they just do separate broadcasts?

He's like that, but that's more because Pacquiao is fighting on HBO now and Mayweather isn't. If it were the other way around, he'd be pro-Mayweather.

He didn't say anything about Floyd being a woman-beater, despite his numerous arrests and accusations, then Floyd goes to Showtime and Lampley (a minor league batterer to Floyd's major league) starts talking about how terrible Floyd is.

Lampley's an HBO shill but even with his pro-Pacquiao bias, and his **** **** stuff, it never reached his man-crushes of Barrera and Cotto, whom he was rooting for against Manny (or it sure seemed like it).

Lampley has a serious man-love for Barrera. It's like Michael/Ryan on The Office, x 10.

Your right why did it take a face to face meeting with pacquiao for him to seem to have any interest in this fight? But that's a question to mayweather not to arum who has been the one putting this together all this time, negotiating with mayweathers boss.

Your an idiot and the KING of misinformation on this site. I choose to not have a conversation with you.

Maybe they would do separate broadcasts, like they did it for Lewis-Tyson.

Jimmy Lennon Jr. wasn't even allowed to say "It's Showtime"

Your still missing the point. Arum had the power to clear this issue but didnt until Pac put him under pressure, after speaking with Mayweather. Lying about negotiations to serve your purpose is not public pressure, its setting up your side to look as if they have done everything they can so that if the fight breaks down you look like the good guy. Arum lies Mayweather gets blamed. the cycle will continue, I dont know why I continue to try to explain it.

As far as fight.. allow both networks to sell it.. HBO PPV, and Showtime PPV.. with 20% of HBO buy earnings going to Showtime, due to the 60/40 so called agreed split.. That way you watch it with the commentators you want..

                    there I solved it..
Its that simple huh? Why the men and women who do this for a living cant get figured out as quick as you did is beyond me. Why arent you making the big bucks working for these people?

What I think it came down to was Mayweather was backing up Showtime in negotiations and Arum was backing up HBO. Arum learned from Koncz/Pacquiao that Mayweather was indeed serious about taking the fight and got HBO to go along with him and lower their demands.
