It's really a sad thing, that Bob Arum's tactics have been so effective for so long! How did the person who walked away twice, and then walked into a wicked straight right, become the brave, fearless warrior, and the person who was willing to test, and made previous attempts, become the coward? It's all PR kid! Now you take away the lie about contracts, and you have to reflect on "what other bull**** have I fallen for in the past?" That's not swag!

maybe because Mayweather has told the media about 7 different reasons of why the fight could not happen. It wasn't just steroid testing. Remember there was also the

etc. Etc.

Mayweather always came up with excuses as to why the fight couldn't happen instead of saying that he really wanted to fight to happen. That's why.

I don't know how many times I've said this, but I'm convinced this fight gets announced during the Super Bowl. The best promotion ever. In my house alone, I'll have 50-70 people (hopefully a little less) over for my Superbowl Party and those who don't really watch football, will be at my house when they announce the fight and will be ready to come back to my house for "Fight Night". If they are not planning the Super Bowl to make the announcement, then someone should get fired because figured for the past couple months that nobody is scared to fight anyone. A fight like this needs to be announced during something big so everyone is talking about it. Not to take away from the other event, but to add to it. I don't even remember Floyd ever announcing his fights as early as people was wanting him to. He's just not going to announce his fights 6 months ahead of time. Like Khan said, Floyd likes to announce his opponent a couple months before the fight and while Floyd is in shape and ready to go, his opponent is just starting to get in shape.

I would be surprised if the promoter pays over 4 million dollars for a 30 second commercial when they can have a huge press conference for a fraction of the amount of money and generate the same amount of attention

Then what was the point in Arum trying to set the fight up in first place? it's a lot of bother for someone to go to just to look like the good guy when negotiations fail. I don't think Arum's in business to look like the good guy in failing negotiations.

With all due respect, have you been paying attention? Arum also staged a negotiation and in essence negotiated with himself for this fight to happen. This speaks directly against what you are saying Arum wouldn't likely do.

Cotto figured it out and to a small extent, Pac finally figured it out. Bob not involved and **** gets done!

Mayweather figured that out A LONG time ago when Bob blocked the biggest fight (of that time) De la Hoya vs Mayweather.

At the end of the say at least it became clear the networks had issues.

I can't stand eram, as he is a liar and really doesn't have boxing's best interest in mind. That said, all managers and promoters are just out to make a buck. And Erin has been promoting boxing biggest fights for over 35 years. The amount of blockbuster fights he has promoted is too long to list. To state that things get done when Erin isn't involved is just not true.

So here is the thing. I doubt both fighters have had any videos or photo shoots in secret that they could package up in time for a full superbowl commercial. And I doubt they would spend the kind of money on a full commercial knowing the numbers would still be high without a superbowl commercial. And add to that all superbowl commercial slots have probably been filled for months, or even years. So that leaves them just announcing the fight and that would be enough to reach all those fans. Like a 30 second announcement by the commentators or a screen blurb. Not my area of expertise but they really need to announce it during the superbowl.

I think the whole basketball thing was staged by both sides. I think there is some sort of an agreement by both sides and all the rest of this is for show. I didn't think so before, but it is starting to look that maybe they are going to announce it at the Super Bowl.

I don't think Bob had anything to do with this at all ...he has been trying to get PAC alone for awhile ...even calling him ...simple and plain he hates arum the guy who tarted him like rigo and took his money ...plus he still owes him from GATTI fight F BOB ASCUM ...Thus fight could've been dine like cotto and Marquez when they left Bob

I've been advocating for months that its been Manny's fault for not taking control of his career like Cotto and Mayweather. Even went as far as calling Arum his boss.

But I have to say Pac got on the phone called Arum, gave the order and here we go lol ok pac.

About time but I don't think Bob wanted it that's why he's creating obstacles thus was all PAC finally snatching his balls PAC from PAC
