GGG is looking for main stream exposure and the big purses that come with it. The only guys at 168 who could give him what he is looking for are Froch and Chavez Jr. But Froch has already ruled himself of consideration for GGG, and if Jr beats Fonfara he will be fighting Froch next, IF he can still make 168.

Staying at 160 is by far the best option for GGG at the moment. He is mandatory now for the WBC title and a unification match with Cotto would be
a bigger fight than anything he could get at 168.
Cotto isn't going to fight Golovkin, and that's obvious; doubt that Oscar risks his sole marketable fighter against Golovkin either (unless K2 is willing to give Golden Boy future options on Golovkin, which is doubtful).

If Golovkin goes to 168, and continues to mow through these bigger guys, he raises his profile on his own.

blatant lie, ad you know it.

Hopkins has openly declared that he has no intention of fighting Ward, and Ward has too much respect for Hopkins to call him out. Dawson volunteered that he'd be happy to come to 168 to fight Ward, and Ward held him to that statement.

If Team Golovkin hadn't talked about being ready to fight anyone 154-168, Andre Ward would've left Golovkin alone.

What do you mean? I thought never making an offer while claiming a side, retiring, backtrackin on email callouts, wanting a couple of tuneups first is being left alone? But now that hes with roc nation with money to burn, no excuses for lack of offer after those tuneups.

But why do you think Klitscko left Ward alone after Andre claimed he could beat him?

making up a quote, and then trying to attribute that quote to someone else, is a pretty sad existence.

I stand corrected; did have the caveat of only being willing to go up for a meaningful fight though.

When Ward knocked off Dawson, 175 definitely went into a bit of a trough, with the rebuild only really taking hold last year.

Ward vs Kovalev/Pascal-Stevenson winner would be a pretty big fight.

SOOOOOOO.....Old!! Fighter A, although he does it for a living and has done it most of his life, is afraid to fight Fighter B.......GARBAGE!!

There is very little actual ducking in boxing...Ward is NOT afraid of Golovkin......Golovkin has clearly said on numerous occasions that he's not quite ready for Ward.

As for Froch or anyone else at 168......I remember Froch's people basically sayin' 'hell no!!'......we'll be steering clear of him....

If you really want to know who is avoided, his name is Andre Ward. NOBODY, is all that interested because it's a tough fight to look good in and just when he was hitting his peak, he had the shoulder injury and promotional issues..............he is the heir apparent to the P4P spot and will hold it down for a few years unless he ages quick, which I highly doubt.

I am a HUGE Golovking fan.........but he will get beaten by Ward. Nobody from 160(155)-175 will beat Ward any time soon..........Hopkins has no interest whether Ward does or not.......so, let GGG clean up MW like Ward did at SMW and then by this time next year, it will be worth talking about.........the money will be closer for both guys.......

Like his syle or not, Ward is the next P4P top of the heap...and Floyd wasn't filling too many small stadiums before fighting Oscar.........so don't write him off as a PPV flop yet.....as soon as Roy Jones lost and Floyd assumed the P4P #1, he started to get paid. Same will happen.....might take a year but when they go looking for someone to beat GGG, they won't have to look far.......and going from MW to SMW is a 5% weight difference. Not all that much.......8 pounds is the weight of a gallon of water.......

Nobody is ducking anyone.......there are certainly guys waiting for the $$ to be worth the risk vs both guys, but scared? No. Get real. 'PRIZE FIGHTING'......prize comes first
