Provodnikov can punch, he is very heavy handed and Matthysse has been hurt by guys who don't hit nearly as hard. Having said that, all Prov has, is a punchers chance, Matthysse is far more skilled and will eventually get a points decision...if he doesn't get stopped.

I see the winner of this fight taking on Herrera.
I'd be surprised if that happened, I can see the top JWWs avoiding Herrera now after how he's made a few decent fighters look bad.

He definitely deserves some decent money fights though, can't imagine how hard it would be to keep going in the gym when you feel you've been jobbed by everyone.

He really is, whether you like it or not. So he had an off night vs Herrera. Herrera still doesn't have a resume at 140 as good as Garcia. Garcia is the best 140 pounder right now.

Maybe Alexander, but Judah fight was pretty close. Those two guys are not any good though, and if Lucas was the monster you guys make him out to be he would have beaten them more conclusively.

Lol they'll go back into hibernation mode just like after the Garcia fight.

this is a 50-50 fight for the simple fact that ruslan is rough and tough, more accurate of a power puncher than molina imo. plus molina did drop and buzz mathysse. the difference will be lucas mixing it up with boxing and counter punching, for ruslan work the body and try to wear down mathysse with his aggression

Not an off-night, he lost. Marquez didn't have as good a record as Pacquiao at 147 but was still ranked above him when he beat him, that's how it goes.

I don't make him out to be a monster. Funnily enough tho, Angel Garcia does now.

Bro, this is gonna be a slugfest for the ages. And you're saying Ruslan has no chance?? Maybe he shouldn't be favored to win vs Matthysse but this is not gonna be a walk in the park for Lucas. John Molina wasn't, why should I believe Ruslan will be??

Punchers always have a chance. That said, the Machine can box, and if all you can do is move forward the Machine will break you. Provo showed against Algieri that he just eats punches and moves forward. Sometimes being tough just isnt enough, especially not against someone that can crack harder than you. 70-30 fight for Matthysse if you ask me. Provo can win, but man, he has to be on fire or very lucky.

I don't get how people think Matthysse can stay away from Provodnikov's right hand for 12 rounds.

In the Garcia fight it kind of a bull**** knockdown but Molina took Matthysee from being a guy who was hardly ever even buzzed to a guy that could be hurt and dropped. That's a big change.

It'll be a meat grinder. Hard to tell who's going to forced backwards.
Then again, not all KD are the same, and some arent even good for you, like KD Chino Maidana. You better win by points because if you knock him down he'll just get up and beat the living sht out of you!
