All hype jobs Hanz. Lucas may be a hype job, but he was beaten by a hype job in Danny. Herrera, Salka and the catchweight announcement for petersen put boxing backwards as far as lineal champs go.

Not a sport of kings anymore, just oppurtunistic half measures due to boxings infrastructure and once proud men being reduced to pawns.

I see Lucas hitting the Mat in this one if his last fight was any evidence this fight will be just as tough and I think Rulsan punches harder then that guy so he may get matts of his game early. I don't think a ko will come for either fighter tho prbly stopped on cuts or corner stoppage

Yeah Ruslan is slow and not the best boxer, but to think he doesn't have a chance against Matthysee is insane. He atleast has a puncher's chance, but it is 60/40 at worst. John Molina just gave Lucas all kinds of problems, this fight will be a war, both guys are there to be hit and have great chins.
Olusegun Ajose gave lucas more problems than molina IMO

If this fight turns into a war like the Molina fight, Pov can win.

Because all evidence points to Pov taking a punch better than Lucas does ATM (though he's never been hit by a power puncher like Lucas). It's common sense. Lucas is the better fighter, yeah. But this is a guy he doesn't need in front of him especially after going to war with Molina.

I repeat.. if this fight is anything like the Molina fight, it favors Pov. That's pretty easy to predict IMO. I don't know how you disagree.

Provodnikov clearly has a chance. Especially with Molina dropping Lucas twice and hurting him on at least one other occasion.

In the Garcia fight it kind of a bull**** knockdown but Molina took Matthysee from being a guy who was hardly ever even buzzed to a guy that could be hurt and dropped. That's a big change.

It'll be a meat grinder. Hard to tell who's going to forced backwards.

I was impressed with Lucas' recovery ability in the Garcia KD if you wanna call it that, and the Molina shots (First round right hand, and then the two KD's)

dude has crazy recovery ability, and he seems to get stronger as the fight goes on, even at the end of the garcia fight, he was getting stronger towards the end

These are two fighters that like to go head to head. Provodnikov has more than a good chance at catching Matthysse and knocking him down or out. If John Molina Jr. was able to do it, Provodnikov can too. Matthysse is also 32 years old which is old for the lighter weight divisions and has more wear than Provodnikov who just turned 31. I think Provodnikov will be the bigger physically of the two and can wear down Matthysse and stop him.

That's very true and an important point. I don't think Provodnikov has the same kind of gas tank. The quality of Matthysse's work doesn't deteriorate as the fight progresses. Whereas with Ruslan I think it sometimes does. Although to be fair to him, he did put Bradley on his ass in the final minute of their fight.

Or we know that when two guys who like to brawl and can punch get in the ring, and one of them has hit the mat 3 times in his last 3 fights, that both guys have a good chance of winning.

I favor Lucas, but Provodnikov could win.

Lucas is a hype job, when will people realise this. Provo is gonna knock him out....early. Feel free to repost this after the fight....or just run back into your hole and hide like the rest always do.
