Lets talk about the disadvantages Cotto had going in to the fight with Sergio. Sergio had 4 pounds over Cotto for the fight, Sergio has 3' height advantage, Sergio has whopping 8' reach advantage, this was Cotto's first ever fight at MW while Sergio has made a living there. The excuse of Sergio's knees.. well NBA players have the same knee surgery a lot and return to allstar form right after, ex: Chris Paul and Blake Griffen so the knee excuse is overrated.
Sergio is passed prime.. well Cotto isn't "prime" himself if you hadn't noticed. Yea paper champ.

I don't know about this place sometimes. First someone saying a 1,2 is a jab, left hook, now someone posting without knowing the definition of a paper champ.

        Stay in school kids.

yet pretty much noone gave him a chance at winning. That a 50% martinez still beats him and is too much for him. If ya dont understand that styles makes fights than no one can help ya.

Still imposible to say how much it effected the fight but he looked very restricted. Cotto needs to beat someone else at MW who's an actual MW.
you mean when the MRI after the fight showed that his knee was fine and that there was nothing wrong with it?

The mainstream consensus is that the Martinez fight was a joke, but this forum is at times infested with maniacal Cotto fans who pretend otherwise.

More recently, the reason for his paperism is that the whole middleweight division is ducking "GIANT BALLS KING COTTO!".

Let them make believe I guess. The thing they don't understand is that their constant silliness actually diminishes Cotto's popularity.

5 guys living in an alternate reality are not going to convince anyone that the fight went differently, they're just going to annoy everyone into hating Miguel.

Saying Cotto is not finished (although nowhere near his best) is not the same as saying he is a true world champion. IMO, if Cotto doesn't necessarily have to fight GGG to be considered the guy or a legit champion but he has to at the very least fight 2 of the 3 names I'm going to mention: Quillin, Lee or Canelo. But Cotto doesn't even look like he'll face those guys, or may be will face one of those and then have another fight against a nobody.

Of course the GGG fight would be the best possibility.

Cotto has spent his whole career ducking people so he is not going to change that just for GGG. I just don't understand why he is ducking GGG so hard doesn't he realize he can break PPV records fighting GGG and he can take that money and retire.

Miguel Cotto is far from being a paper champion...The disrespect on here is amazing sometimes...

The are plenty of guys parading around with title belts who ARE PAPER CHAMPIONS...WBA interim this & champion in waiting that...and some people want to question Cotto's legitimacy? Smh
