Why did you ignore the part where Donaire-Walters was on the Golovkin-Rubio undercard? Donaire had the 6th most watched fight in 2012, the 15th and 21st most watched fights in 2013, and the 6th most watched fight in 2014. You don't think if Ward-Rodriguez had Donaire-Walters on their undercard that they would have scored at least 0.1M more viewers? Obviously they would have. They probably would have scored 0.3-0.5M more viewers. And that's Ward-Rodriguez we're talking about.

Second, you have no idea what kind of money Ward is demanding. His old contract with Goosen had a $1.75M minimum, but his contract with Roc Nation has new terms. Maybe he's asking for $1M and HBO is countering with $500K. Do you know specifically what kind of purse Ward is asking for or HBO is offering?

you are right money doesn't matter to ward. i realized this when he turned down a career high payday not to fight bute. he probably is willing to take 20 bucks to fight kovalev.

I laugh whenever I read things like this. Fox Sports 1 and ESPN2 cards have a budget of about $50K for the entire card. And you think someone that probably wants $1M just for himself is going to fight on a Fox Sports 1 card?

if he wanted money then he would have taken the bute fight. i didn't see him saying anything about sartison or rodriguez not being worthy. is a win over rodrigeuz as good as a win over bute? fail. and for less money? utter fail. he also said stevenson hadn't beaten anyone right after stevenson ko'd dawson the guy ward had just fought. so who exactly will he fight if it takes 2 million dollars to get him in the ring with a bum like rodriguez i guess no one. rodriguez rematch?
