I just hope that Manny didn't let Floyd manipulate him during their long hour talk. Knowing Manny, he's so gullible. Manny literally grew up on the Street, but not a street smart. Floyd is a street smart kinda guy, he'll bs his way to get what he wants.

I also hope that Floyd will let him use gloves of his choosing, not those Maidana's treatment. Atleast just that one area of Floyds demands that he'll let Manny slide, I'll give more props on top of that gutsy moves he did last night.

I find it fascinating and I am really dumbfounded that there is still a very small contingent of people on these forums who feel like arum was getting in the way when every shred of evidence points exactly to the contrary.

Arum took it upon himself to go over the heads if haymon and mayweather and went straight to their boss les moonves to see if moonbes could deliver mayweather. Arum and pacquiao called mayweather out for weeks in the media with no reply whatsoever from mayweather. Mayweather then comes on ShowTime and spews garbage about pacquiao is getting less than 40 million and lets do it may 2nd.

Arum then says during a press conference he doesn't see why the fight needs to be may 2nd if nobody involved is Mexican. He also pointed out he wouldn't stop the fight if it had to be on that date. All you haters were In an uproar saying see told you so, arum is stopping the fight, even though he had already said it wouldn't stop him. Then he comes out and says may 2nd is fine and they have agreed to everything and are waiting on a signed contract from mayweather. Mayweathers team didn't say anything for 2 whole weeks again and then Espinoza pops out of nowhere to say that negotiations weren't done. You guys all said see arum was lying hes trying to block the fight. No that didn't mean he was lying, that means Espinoza was doing damage control and arum was right. You dint wait 2 weeks to answer to all that negative media.

Mayweather is a control freak. He couldn't have the story line as "mayweather finally succumbs to the pressure, signs to fight pacquiao may 2nd." No he couldn't have the truth be told to make him look bad so he decided to change the script. He knew Manny was in Miami and was a basketball fans, so he went to try to run into him so he could go talk to him all animated looking like he was controlling the show. That's why he had on the phillipines sweater. In reality he was looking fir a way out and when he couldn't find one he had to make ot look like he's the one who pushed the deal through. That wasn't a gutsy move, he did that to make everyone think he was gutsy. Manny had agreed to the terms almost a month ago and the public pressure in mayweather has been tremendous, and he was desperately trying to figure out a way to fight cotto. When he realized nobody was going to let him off the hook he pulled that stunt last night to make it look like he's the one who pushed the deal through lol meanwhile he was the only hold up for the last month as arum and pacquiao have constantly been telling the media with no reply whatsoever from mayweather.

whether you like bob arum or not he has been the top promoter or near the top for the last 50 or so years. He has been involved in some of the biggest fights ever, pays his fighters very well, and gets them good fights. He is the only reason this fight is even possibly taking place right now. If he didn't step to les moonves about the fight, mayweather would be off somewhere quacking about his health or looking in a mirror telling himself hes a boss. Arum has been the one person throughout this process who has kept fans abreast of everything that has been going on. He said the networks worked out the issues 2 weeks ago. How is that lying? Floyd said there was something he didn't like about the networks supposedly, maybe that was a new issue or something who knows. You guys love to latch on to every word bob arum says and then you can find ways to say hes lying. Hes done everything he said he was going to do. I still haven't saw one thing that hes been caught lying about. He said Floyd should sign the contract and you guys said hes a liar because theres no contract.
