you got to give it to oscar for trying but until top rank and golden boy actually start putting some fights together im gonna assume their whole the cold war is over gimmick was nothing but a pr stunt aimed at bashing al haymon and richard shaefer at the time. I could be forgetting something but have they even entertained a fight yet besides in the media? The only ones i can think of were mandatory defenses

Exactly the problem is Haymon he has the final word. Oscar can only wish to promote this fight, but without Haymons approval is not happening. that is why all of this fighters run to him.

Guys I heard some rumors, Oscar is trying to get St Cruz to fight Rigondeaux on the Mayweather Pacquiao under card.

That would make the most sense for the May date (Cinco De Mayo) that Pacquaio and Mayweather will likely announce this Super Bowl weekend. Maximize the money available and everybody wins. Certainly the purses for both will be rather modest but the publicity to be the main undercard fight will return lucrative benefits for both camps. I like this outcome the most and it keeps both fighters busy this Spring
