In your personal opinion,is Deontay Wilder a legit champion

personally Deontay and Stiverne before him were and are just paper Champions,so was Povetkin....just the WBC bringing out new belts to hype up heavyweight fights because Wladimir has bored us all to tears for years...

Its a joke and means nothing to me,just a fight to see who is second best and to fool the General public

Also its going to make people like David Haye,Fury and whoever else look for easy cash and avoid Wladimir

He's just a title holder. Only legit championship is the lineal or being unified

Wlad is only heavyweight champ right now, it is a paper belt that is nice to look at, but unless he beats Wlad he is a belt holder or title holder (whatever you want to call it).
Let's just see how the hype job's career goes before we judge weather he is great or just a carefully matched flash in the pan.

Deontay Wilder is a titleholder IMO...Meaning he gets to walk around with a shiny belt engraved with his name, pay sanctioning fees, and make a few bucks more than he would without having a belt...It is a natural step in his professional development...Hopefully it will lead to an opportunity at the #1 heavyweight Wladimir Klitchko...

I think it was Fat Dan who said it best when he called Wilder the Junior Varsity Heavyweight Champ. Everyone knows Wlad is the real champ. But one day Wilder will earn his shot.

It really doesn't matter what some people on a message board personal opinion is. Deontay Wilder won a world title. Its not like he fought for a vacant world title. He is a HW Titlist. He holds a piece of the HW championship. Deal with it haters.

Sadly there isn't one belt anymore and he won his fair and square legit. Floyd is the best at 147 does that make brook not a champion or manny?

There is only 1 champ in the heavyweight division. In the grand scheme of boxing currently he is a legit title holder, and I like him compared to most heavyweights although I think Povetkin would be a real test for him.

Yes, he beat Stiverne, he is one of two legit world heavyweight champions.

Is he the best, or even second-best, in the division? different question.

He's legit but he's not really the champ.
