The cynicism and negativity from Pacquiao stans about this is just hilarious. For weeks, you guys were bashing and ripping Floyd to shreds (and I being one of them admittedly) and now when Floyd takes the initiative and talks to Pacquiao man to man you guys still bash him.

Anyone else troubled by the fact that all of these supposed 'journalists' never seem to ask the real, important questions?
I mean, what are the issues that are holding up the fight? Did Pacquiao not in fact agree to all of the terms Mayweather laid out? What is the status of the network negotiations? How long should it take before contracts are drafted?
But look, they were at a basketball game and shook hands! Let's make 10 different threads about that!Comment

Why write all that BS when we all saw with our own eyes they were talking professionally and cordially there was no confrontation at all.Comment

Wtf does this need to happen? Never have in the career of both fighters did they have to meet and talk privately with a possible opponent. Floyd's obsessive compulsive need to control is what's driving this. Is the fix in? Who gets fight 1, fight 2, and a free for all fight 3? This is ******. Just make the fight and meet at fight night or at the press tours.Comment

"I don't want to go on a worldwide tour. We don't think it's necessary," he said. "Look, we could have stopped in seven cities and not gotten the kind of publicity we got from Manny and Floyd talking at halftime of the basketball game. "I think we could do one city, perhaps two, New York and Los Angeles, and this thing will go viral. It will sell itself. We don't need to go spending money on private jets to go to a lot of cities. Those tours are expensive. The money could go to the fighters instead. People want this fight and have wanted it for so long. I would have liked to see it happen three or four or five years ago, but hopefully we can get it done now. It will be the biggest fight in history."
And this is why I think the fight's already been agreed to.Comment

When I first saw them talking I was hyped, but it easily came down to smoke and mirrors once I read Ben Thompson of fight hype article talking ****, saying Floyd confronted them and said stop lying and all this wreckless Bs making Pac look shook.

I am not a fan of Floyd Mayweather but he deserves props and some respect for actually taking the Initiative to have a face to face discussion with Pacquiao.
The worst part of Floyd Mayweather are his fans, supporters, cheerleaders and nuthuggers on this board.Comment
