Comments Thread For: De La Hoya on Canelo-Kirkland Details, Mayweather

Several top names are waiting for Floyd Mayweather Jr. to reveal his next move. Mayweather plans to return on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but the opponent remains a mystery.

Negotiations are still ongoing for Mayweather to face Manny Pacquiao. Most insiders and industry players are not confident the match happens.

Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya is among the many who believe Mayweather is going to face WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto in a rematch.

Thomas and mack is the filthiest arena I've ever been to, you almost expect to see Pee Wee Herman masturbating two rows down.

Oscar continue to use Mayweather as the bad guy for boxing. If he wouldn't have overpriced that redhead kid he keeps thinking is a star maybe the fight with Cotto could have been done. But Oscar is about as dumb as a rock when it comes to negotiations. He better apologize to Richard & see if he can get him back because if Ann Wolf trains Kirkland he can forget about Canelo winning that fight.

He's not using him as the bad guy, he just knows Mayweather is going to duck Pacquiao again.

I was a huge fan of both Oscar and Canelo too.

Oscar is doing wrong by, once again, starting a cold war between networks. He did it with Canelo against Chavez/Martinez and now doing it again but this time he went back across the street.

And Canelo i was a huge fan of and though i still think hes the future of this sport im turned off by the "self-entitlement" persona he is currently displaying.

All the pieces on the board should start moving soon.

Remember Pacquiao gave Floyd til the end of the month to sign lol 4 days away!
