Mayweather has first dibs on him. I'm pretty sure Haymon would be more willing to make that fight instead of giving him to the guy he can't ever agree with (Arum)

Going by history, I think it's clear that Floyd is willing to take less money to fight the easier opponent...

Cotto has no promoter and network obligation...

Floyd can just fight Cotto under Mayweather Promotions (good luck with Mayweather Promotions promoting its first major PPV - yikes) and on Showtime without HBO...

The issue is that no one in the mainstream media is going to care about the fight... Mayweather rematches have only happened when the first fight had a controversial decision... it's going to be hard to sell for $80... and it's going against Canelo who is the 3rd/4th biggest PPV draw and a bigger draw than Cotto.. Mexican fans won't be interested in the Cotto fight over Canelo... How much will Showtime invest in promoting the fight? You can bet CBS will want to invest nothing in that fight especially after the Pac-fight failure... I think fans will go from wanting to see Floyd lose to gaining pleasure by seeing Floyd's PPVs flop..that'll be the new "wanting Floyd to lose" appeal.. and that's NOT good for Floyd and Showtime... But hey the Pac fight is already past expiration so Floyd-Cotto 2, Let's get it on! He bloodied his nose and he has Roach now doughhhhh

Agree with this. Fans need to start showing their disapproval with their dollars. Especially if they have the opportunity to do so on the same day that floyd fights. Not buying his ppv is one thing but buying someone else's, especially a Mexicans, on the same night, let alone on Cinco de mayo is an all too real possible situation and nightmare for Mayweather/Haymon.

Khan has to give Showtime one more fight... PPV fight doesn't count... Khan-Pacquiao can be made at the end of the year like in December on HBO... there is no way that fight happens next...

I think Pac will fight either Lucas M., Provo, or Vargas.. Provo is a long shot because Pac fighting in Brooklyn is a stretch...

I think we'll get Pac v. Lucas next...

I agree. I actually didn't buy ma weathers fights wit guererro or both Maidana fights. I though Canelo was a challenge, and I purchased it. Unless he fights GGG which is less likely than Pac, I sint buying anymore floyd fights.
unfortunately showtime will suffer more bc floyd is guaranteed 30 mil

And please, whoever was saying Canelo overpriced himself for the Cotto fight. If you know the numbers, please tell us. If you don't ...
I agree. They already have canelo v Kirkland signed but are doing the courtesy of moving for Pac v may. Otherwise, why should they not fight that day? May don't git cinco de mayo rights for life

It's been written about at nauseam, regardless of who Mayweather fights on May 2nd Canelo/Kirkland will be on regular HBO not on PPV. The only fight Canelo was going to put on PPV was Cotto as the opponent.

Him moving the fight off of May 2nd has nothing to do with courtesy for the fans. These guys don't care about the fans more than money. He know damn well he wouldn't have a shot to get no viewers if that fight was on. It wouldn't have nothing to do with the fans.

On top of that it doesn't even matter if he fights Kahn or Cotto, if they don't move off that date they gone lose a lot of viewers on HBO. They gone end up moving off the date anyway.

He better apologize to Richard & see if he can get him back because if Ann Wolf trains Kirkland he can forget about Canelo winning that fight.
I agree with you man Oscar mess up everything
