of course ***gum will strengthin your jaw line and it helps absorb the shock more efficiently then a weak jaw with no muscle. Tap yourself on the chin with you jaw tight as can be its just a thud then tap yourself on the chin with your jaw slightly lose just a lil and you can feel the rattle in the back of your brain where as a tight strong jaw you cant.

you probably been knocked out your entire career you dont know whats up.

Everyone has different ways to accomplish this margarito used to do chin ups, Mayweather does those weighted head ups and chew gum nonstop.
I was stopped 2 times in approx. 60 bouts, **** happens.

I would say that seeing, recognizing that a shot is about to land, will keep you on your feet far more than whether or not you knaw on gum all day. It will never be the deciding factor in whether a shot drops you or not. Just too many other physical and neurological factors that play a huge roll. The ones that you don't see are the ones that get you. It won't matter how much gum you may have chewed.

            HAHAAH bro science

            Dude said chewing gum.

If your mouth is open your jaw will break like what happend to Ortiz and Abraham where they knocked out from it no.

            But their jaws broke.

There are some monsterous looking roided up bodybuilder guys who have glass chins.

LOL dude please tell me you are trolling about that chewing gum hahaah maybe your will get more defined jaw muscles but itt won't do jack for your ability to take a shot.

If chewing gum really worked every boxer would have iron jaws and not be dropped lol

Ever since Khan developed that elite neck of his, he has hardly been stunned. So I do think it plays a part. Amir is probably shooting steroids into his jugular veins as we speak.

Strong neck, tuck that chin in, and no whiplash effect.

It helps to be relaxed when you get hit. If you're tight you'll receive more damage.
