That's how showtime/cbs has to feel like when after 2 years of promoting haymon guys with the anticipation for future big fights, he took the big fights to nbc and other cable channels.. The fights haymon announced for cable are far better than the ones he gave showtime in 2014..

I thought the whole point in signing floyd was to build up the showtime boxing rosters but now haymon has seemingly left you in the dark with a 32 million obligation to floyd, and absolutely nothing to show for it now..
    No Canelo
    No danny
    No broner
    No thurman
    No ghost

No cards scheduled, and your gonna pay floyd 32 plus million to fight someone that isn't manny... It makes no sense
Not really talking about appeasing haymon. I just don't think the Mayweather/Pac fight factors into that equation at all. I think they are separate issues. Whatever Haymon's working relationship with Showtime is it has more to do with what he's done and little to do with whether floyd vs manny happens. I think the sentiment about that fight is great if it happens but No1 is holding their breaths and I damn sure don't think anyone is making any long term broadcasting decisions based on it. And once again, I'm one person who thinks the fight is gonna happen. I just think people put a lot of silliness out there just because it sounds good.

      He's hearing reports?
Well not official.... I'm sure if it is true he'd open it up to good fights and not crap ones like last year. We still got that Feb Shobox show, but literally nothing after that

HBO will be desperate to get Wilder/Fury or Wilder/Klithsdko on their network. I think they will also desperately want the Garcia/Peterson vs Guerrero/Thurman winner. If Showtime decides not to do business with Haymon again, Showtime will be the biggest loser.
I don't know about Floyd and Espinoza but in short Haymon has nothing to worry about

It was only a matter of time before Moonves caught on. The 'Cold War', big fights not happening, fighters running scared... all these things became the norm in Boxing when one man rose to power. It's like Floyd's on and off BFF kept telling us. Big Al's puppets in Schaefer and Espinoza are being aired out finally. It will be fascinating to see how Floyd and co. weasel out of the fight this time.

You Flo-mos are like the band on the Titanic...keep playing that music as you and your boy sink into oblivion.
Floyd has a boss after all I guess...

Let's be real at this moment is a threat like that going to hurt Haymon? If Moonves is threatening people why isn't the fight signed yet? WhY is a Cotto Rematch being reported as imminent is that going to NBC also? Showtime can essentially just cut bait with Floyds contract. I'm sure Showtime enjoyed the ratings for Wilders fight you don't cut your nose off to spite your face. Even if Oyd vs Manny happens Haymon could still up and take his stable. I doubt these threats are being handed out.

Still, if your the CEO of CBS, you want the fight badly, and to force Al Haymon's hand you might as well block off all his other fights on showtime.. He just took them to regular cable anyways, so showtime should just play hardball, much like how haymon does.

As i said before, it is up to Showtime to put pressure on Mayweather jr to make this fight happen. They are ones (showtime) who really stand to lose. Floyd already has a guaranteed contract, so the money he makes from this fight most of it will prob go to Showtime.

Al haymon is using other people's money buying this airtime on cable,, he is ******** on being able to land a huge TV contract in the future.. If he can't get the ad revenue to justify the cost, and to generate a return to the private equity guys, haymon is gonna be screwed.. Hbo won't touch him, and after this year if floyd is really done, we won't have a cash cow anymore.. He would be wise to not totally burn bridges with showtime...

Besides, floyd has 2 fights left, why wouldn't all cash him vs manny.. Just too much money to be made

He's been promoting for about 5 decades now. He has promoted the greatest fighters and fights in the history of boxing...He has promoted way before Mayweather was born and way after he has retired.
