What happened to Cuban Boxing? Are They In Rebuild Mode?

They all seem to be garbage! with the best one fighting in alleys in japan for peanuts in front of drunks!

All their so called great fighters who were supposed to do something failed miserably, Gamboa a Bum ducker who got iced, Solis too fat to even stand up, Lara tried boy he tried bless his heart but in that big fight he ran for his life.

Are we waiting for this new batch of cuban fighters to come over from cuba now since this batch was a total dud. Shouldent be long right? cuba is filled with talents all turning triple gold Olympians by only age 34!

Gamboa isn't a good example because he was/is awesome. Obviously him signing to 50 cent, being inactive and fighting at a weight class where he really doesn't belong was his downfall.

Rigondeaux is phenomenal. He got a good payday in Japan. It's not his fault Americans don't appreciate "the sweet science" anymore.

Lara is solid. Not great but a solid fighter.

Plus this is only a tiny fraction of Cuban fighters that actually succeeded in defecting. Imagine if there were no restrictions.

Gamboa is a G. The rest are a bunch of glass chin hype jobs. The epitome of overrated.

Well, rigo, yoan pablo, barthelemy and abril all have belts but so called fighters prefer to talk than fight them for those belts, on a percentage basis if one considers the amount of cuban professional fighters and the world champions among them, I don't think any other nation who be rated higher, on the other hand I understand some butthurt fans that see their idols taken to school, ko'd or simply ducking cubans hating on cuban boxers, so it's life.

So because two Cubans styles aren't your cuppa you label the lot as boring?

Suggest you watch some of Yunier Dorticos, Mike Perez, Joan Pablo Hernandez & Hairon Socarras, they're plenty exciting.
