those uppercuts man... they were devastating. Those snapped his head back.
The one that sent him on his knee was a beautiful one. those type of punches take something out of you long term. Alvarado needs to think of his health. At the very least, take a year long break.

Alvarado did rub his face/eyes after that uppercut... He didn't know what was going on. Perhaps, his vision was indeed blurry after the round. His reaction is consistent with that.

I doubt he did. I'd be much more concerned about him being an alcoholic or tweaker. Weed doesn't have as dramatic of an effect as either of those

He doesn't have that "fire" anymore and he is on drugs. He should think about his family and friends, check himself into rehab, and get his life together.

The fight was very sad and hard to watch. Mike is in a bad place.

I hope he can climb himself out the hole he has gotten himself in.

Alvarado was part of it. I think Rios may have learned a little something from his last few fights. He looked to be in extremely good shape, so he much have been 100% focused on the fight during training camp. As soon as the opening bell rang, Rios looked like a "Man on a Mission". He took it straight to Alvarado and never gave him a chance to breath.

I think if Rios stays this focused, he'll be a huge force in the division.

Not really, honestly. I used to smoke quite a bit and I could run 5 miles and work out for 2 hours or so afterwards with no issues at all. I felt completely focused and relaxed, much more so than if I was sober. It's a misnomer that it simply makes people "dumb and lazy". Now, I am in no way saying that it will do that for other individuals but for me personally, that was my experience.
