There's nothing at all for the next three weekends.

    Jan 31
    Feb 7
    Feb 14

That's a long time to wait. Too bad one or another network couldn't have fit something into at least one of those three weekends.

But starting on Feb 21 with Murray-Golovkin, it gets much better.

And there's still time for some other decent matchups to be made for late March, April and May.

It would be nice to see a decent co-feature with Alvarez-Kirkland on May 2. There are plenty of boxers available, the promoters just need to get busy.

Their entire focus is on making PPVs for Mayweather. That's all they've been preparing for every year since they signed him in. The money they expected to make from the PPVs to fund other fights didn't materialize. That's why HBO still beat them in both quality and quantity in 2013 and 2014. This slowdown in fights will never go away until after Mayweather is gone.

January is always a ****ty month for matches. February is rarely much better. Boxing has slumps every year since most top fighters do a two-fights-a-year schedule. March-July are always the best fight months of any year. Same with September-December.

It's not rocket science. They have obligations to make Mayweather happy and get his $32 million guarantee in every fight. You can imagine the headache of just trying to come up with $32 million to make Mayweather happy.
