Haymon will likely reveal a Series with Showtime soon as well
It is still so many fights to be made just within his group of fighters so he holds the cards as far as Showtime goes
HBO on the other hand, not really sure what they're waiting for, they have Oscar and GBP back along with Top Rank. Maybe they waiting to see what the Competition has in store before revealing their own fights.
Mayweather vs Pacquiao has the boxing world HOSTAGE right now, either they fight or both can just *** OFF already. Out with the Old and In With The New! Tired of BOTH to be honest!Comment

Here is a big difference I see:
Showtime:
3 fights per card, regular Showtime
Showtime Extreme that has undercard fights
Showtime has a series called ShowBox
HBO:
2 fights per card and none of the other items above other than a toprank.tv stream for the undercard.
There is no way to say that HBO is better based on the obvious differences.Comment

Murray vs Golovkin is a solid fight so is Kovalev vs Pascal, you guys acting like girls now. Murray's only loss should have been a W against Martinez and who other than Pascal do you want to see Kovalev against and don't say the other duck Stevenson because we are all aware of his situationComment

In 2014, SHO had 24 cards and HBO had 21 cards. A small difference in quantity. SHO probably had many more fights overall, but that isn't necessarily a good thing if the match-ups suck. BoxingScene should have a HBO vs. Showtime thread so we can discuss this year-round.Here is a big difference I see:

I went back and looked at shotime championship boxing schedule for last year because I saw people complaining a lot about the fights. Besides maybe like 3-5 main events not being good on paper, a lot of the fights were good and we got to see a lot of the young fighters coming up. You still got 6 fights for eac card and atleast one fight was damn good on the card. Shotime put on some good cards but people complained about a fight on paper. I can think of two fights off the top of my head that people complained about that turned out great, Matthyse/Molina and the one Adonis Stevenson fight. People need to watch the fights inside the ring, and not outside the ring or on paper. I get sick of cheap HBO only giving us two fights per card.In 2014, SHO had 24 cards and HBO had 21 cards.
