Not agreeing to the 14 day cut-off, is a failure by TR, and Roach admitted to that. Not fighting due to an outdoor stadium is a failure by TR. That's twice. You heard Manny and Arum saying terms are agreed to, and you heard Espinoza say that's not true. So now you can choose who you want to believe, because none of us know. However, history is NOT on TR's side:

Friday's turn of events made that pretty clear. There have been previous negotiations and lots of rhetoric. At various times throughout this whole ordeal, I believe both sides have been to blame.

But at this moment, the fault of a fight not being made falls squarely on the shoulders of Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, who, in my view, simply doesn't want to make the match at a moment when there seems to be no legitimate impediment...

It was just this week that Arum said he would go to the Philippines to meet with Pacquiao and present him with the names of four possible opponents for May or June: Miguel Cotto, Marquez, Lamont Peterson and Timothy Bradley Jr.

Arum figured Mayweather would be in jail and off the table. Now that Mayweather is available and seemingly would like to make the match, Arum suddenly isn't interested.

He used the lame excuse of the cut Pacquiao suffered against Marquez, saying he might not be ready for May. (I've never heard of a cut taking more than six months to heal.) However, earlier this week, when Arum thought Mayweather would be on ice behind bars, he said there was a good possibility Pacquiao would fight in May.

Moments after Mayweather was granted the continuance, Arum changed his tune.

"We're fighting in June, one of the four guys," Arum told me over the phone.

I asked him, now that Mayweather was available, would he at least be part of the conversation when Arum meets with Pacquiao next week?

A perturbed Arum's response was, "Absolutely not. Nope."

You post that and I can just post the interview with Ross Greenburg that say Floyd ducked the fight last time around when TR and manny were on board...back and forth and past negotiations sone even matter..who's fault is it this time around? One side seems to be shouting from the rooftops that they want the fight and the other is saying nothing and all we hear now is a fight with Cotto is on the horizon... I still think the fight happens in May and Floyd wants to announce it on his own terms because his ego has to be stroked..

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is not backing away from applying the pressure on Floyd Mayweather Jr. to fight Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

On Saturday, Showtime Sports Head Stephen Espinoza denied Arum's claim that Mayweather is holding up the finalization of the fight. Arum says Mayweather is refusing to green light the terms. Espinoza claims the parties have not yet reached an agreement on the terms.

it's obvious, there is lots of salt on both sides. If this fight doesn't get made, I blame both Erin and Mayweather, with just a little bit more blame on Mayweather. I think the only one who really, truly, 100% once this fight is Manny Pacquiao. There is no doubt in my mind about that
