Cotto vs Canelo is a better fight than Mayweather vs Cotto 2, he was comprehensively beaten by Mayweather the first time (I am not goint to say it was a shut out but it definitely wasn't a close fight), and Cotto vs Canelo has been brewing for a while, since before Cotto lost to Trout to be exact. I understand that Cotto wants to get paid at this stage in his career, but as a boxing fan it is not my duty to look after fighters' paydays but instead to look at the best fights that can be made.

In the only win Alvarado had in the trilogy he did his best Crawford imitation with that stance switch style. Crawford will kill Rios lol

Crawford would beat Rios at any weight. It's s huge mismatch in skill.

Rios just beat up a punching bag that was very likely high at the time. He cant beat good boxers with speed. He needs to stick to guys like "the high one" in the future. TC would look like prime Sweet Pea against Rios.

Rios wouldn't look any better against Crawford than he did against Pacquiao. This fight was a joke...Alvarado has been washed up since 2013 and was at an all time low tonight. If you're judging Rios based on this you're clueless. Rios is still the same guy who lost every round to Pacquiao and nothing more.

Even if Rios could make 140 without draining himself, Crawford would beat him easy. Different class of fighter. Rios ain't beating a boxer who can move and even an average mover can outbox him.

I don't know why people are being carried away with Rios' win over an unprepared and shot Alvarado - who was never good to begin with - coming off two brutal beatings.
