  • Did provo ruin bradley?

It seems that after the provodnikov fight bradley has declined slightly. The marquez fight is debatable since marquez was in his late 30s, which is normally the age fighters retire. Against pac bradley gassed very quickly and he didn't look impressive against chaves. He also seems to have gained more weight between fights than he used to although that could be due to aging. He doesn't seem to have the goods that he used to. The only thing I can think of is the provo fight which took him months to recover from. And now his broken cheekbone will give him trouble. He's picked up like an injury nearly every fight in the past 3 years. He's starting to look like rosado and that's worrying

Nah, he's just not that good.

He's had poor performances and edged out performances throughout his career.

Nobody could get through that fight without losing something but I wouldn't go as far as ruined him

And if you do wanna say he's not good or he got ruined, he's made a **** ton of money and has respect of the true fans and he got into the sport for the money so credit to him

          He deserves it

Bradley isn't that good but he whooped the piss out of Pederson, who people pretend to be excited over in a catchweight fight with Danny Gift. Something isn't right here.

Bradley lost some of his edge in the Provo fight, but he's still better than Marquez.

I'd disagree in a way. For Bradley to consistently put himself in the position to win these close decisions he has to be "that good". A guy who wasn't that good wouldn't have (on top of all his clear victories) gotten generous nods against Manny and Ruslan -- he would have been iced by them in a few rounds.

Maybe not a legend or phenom, but a staple at the top of some of the best divisions in boxing holding wins over Marquez, Peterson, Alexander, etc., which is pretty damn good.

His big flaw is his lack of ferocity. He's fighting guys you're unlikely to flat out dominate, but he doesn't have the ferocity to cause decisive endings, so he was destined to get 99% there then leave it to a controversial decision.

Why do people discredit fighters for not being blessed with natural talent such as amazing speed and power?

If anything, I credit a fighter more for making up for that in other areas like will, determination, versatility.

He outpointed JMM as he was coming off the best win of his entire career, then again JMM may not have had the right juice on him.

He out boxed Chaves quite easily to, how do you see him struggling? What did he struggle in?

Bradley's biggest issue concerning his rating is that he fought Pacquiao. Pacquiao lovers hate him for the first fight robbery and Floyd lovers hate him because he's with Arum, thus being another fighter Floyd will never face who would give him trouble. Finally, the Khan groupies, cos they're Khan groupies.
