So Canelo finally decides to fight Kirkland after he's been in active for almost a year and a half but when Kirkland was available in 2012-13 he decided to fight Josesito Lopez and Austin Trout????

Canelo loses when it's all said and done. He has absolutely nothing to gain from this fight. De La Hoya like always is going to shoot his golden promotions company in the foot again.

    Mayweather $30 million
    Cotto $12 million
    Pacquiao $20 million
    Khan $5-10 million

Canelo $1 million ***55357;***56489; yeah what a rock star. That's what he gets for not paying his dues and acting like a certified icon in the sport

All Alvarez has to do is survive the initial surge and it'll be fish out a barrel the rest of the way. At the least it'll be interesting to see Alvarez's gameplan when someone is hunting him down for as long as it'll probably last.

Same can be said for Kirkland. If Canelo doesn't finish an Anne Wolfe trained Kirkland early, he's in trouble.

This looks like a total mismatch. Kirkland will be hurt early and often and will not get the opportunities to come back like the wide open Angulo gave him. Alvarez too polished, strong and just all around superior. Forget the Ishida blowout - people seem to forget Kirkland was also exposed big time against the limited non puncher Carlos Molina. Two completely different classes of fighter here.

Kirkland needs a tune-up fight more than he needs to change that alias and his war cry..........Probably be some excellent action for a bit, but I'm doubtful he lasts past 7-8 rounds......

                You're a f.ucking idiot.

Kirkland was the one that had problems and couldn't make the fight.

The only ones that lose from this are Cotto and Mayweather, you're delusional if you think Cotto will make anywhere near $12 million, plus he's going to lose his title. Mayweather loses because of all the backlash from this fight, sure he'll make his millions, but so what that's a fight that the majority of people don't want, and it will lose viewer from the HBO counterprogram.

The only ones that don't gain anything are Floyd and Cotto, that fight for the MW title will be a goddamn farce if both come in at catchweights.

How long was Martinez inactive for? Top it off Martinez was coming off surgery. Cotto stans didn't have a problem with Martinez's inactivity huh?

Why should you care how much a boxer makes? Do you get any money Cotto makes?

Good move by Oscar and HBO, now that it looks like Floyd and Cotto are going to rematch.
Guess we will find out who really buys all those PPVs on May 2.
at the Floyd and Cotto fans feeling threatened in this thread.
