from 140 to 147 to 154 he has always been a shaky fighter durability strenght wise. he isnt that big of a guy. if a former flyweight can wreck you, GGG will send cotto to the 5th dimension next to Matthew McConaughey sending morse code into past/present time ruining the ending of interstellar.
dammit dude I was gonna watch that movie tonight while I work late. haha

Except that (8-round) fight was at 163lbs.

If people want to place emphasis on MW lineal championship, then they shouldn't delude themselves that Cotto beat Martinez first, because he really didn't.

In the time after his win over Chavez in 2012, Golovkin has been been cleaning the division out while Martinez won a disputed decision over Murray and lost to Cotto. Cotto isn't looking to defend that title seriously. The only reason it isn't official is because Martinez wouldn't and Cotto won't fight Golovkin.

Sometimes the lineal champ isn't actually the champ, and this is one of those times. Quite frankly, once Golovkin beats Murray I don't see how anyone can deny him.
Most of his wins are over the same people Martinez had already beat

No, they only have one common opponent. The next one is Murray, who most felt beat Martinez.

You can pretend all you want that Cotto is the real middleweight champ holding the lineal crown but we all know that is a GOD DAMN lie.

The true battle for the lineal middleweight crown is between the best middleweight in the planet in GGG vs the man who beat sergio before cotto in Martin Murray.
He abused Sergio Martinez??? Really??? You call that abuse??? Lol

which is basically the point of the thread.

cotto is not the lineal champ. the lineage was broken when murray beat sergio but was robbed then according to some poster blackwell or the other euro guy has claim to the lineage.

He's cleaning out the division by targeting and beating all the top 10 guys and other champs. He's beaten 4 or 5 top 10 fighters, another handful of top 20 fighters, and 2 or 3 have ducked him. He'll almost certainly go after another top 10 guy following Murray.
