The PBC will probably make their own belts soon enough. The whole PBC thing could be taking guys away from the orgs. Lee/Quillin seems like it could be a pretty marketable fight for the mass audiences they're looking to appeal to. They would still market them both as champions.... But if they want Lee to take part he'll need to be compensated to vacate.
I agree it'd be unusual for any Haymon fighter to get paid less than a non-Haymon opponent, but this would be a unique circumstance, and then again what Pete gets paid could be irrelevant to Andy so long his happy with his pay.
Al has to do something big for Pete or it looks bad on him. Maybe Quillin fights N'Dam for the vacant IBF? But he needs to get Quillin into a marketable fight.
As for the money, Quillin would probably take the short money and say thank you since he's done it before.
That could happen if the belt's vacant because pretty much everyone down the line is busy.
I think Lemeuix is the last realistic option and he may be tied up in legal stuffComment

Agreed. Quillin should earn his shot back. He's basically been retired since he dumped the belt, as Haymon shelved him (the spin would be he was in a big Hollywood film, so he had no time to fight).
Quillin earned all the disrespect from fans that he is getting. He truly became a heel in boxing, without ever intending to be one. Just by the actions of his adviser did his reputation take such a hit. Haymon is pimping his fighters and has them deluded into thinking he is great for them.Comment
