Networks didn't need to agree on anything with Amir khan being as though he was with showtime also not rival hbo its two en****** in this case with mayweather and pac so networks have to agree with terms of lead network and everything else being as though hbo doesn't wanna use same blueprint they used for Tyson vs Lewis fightI've never seen a boxers contract and I doubt neither have you, but It would make sense they could make a contract regardless of whether the networks have agreed to show the fight. Amir khan signed a contract to fight mayweather last year and I highly doubt the networks had agreed to show that fight or that mayweather had any intentions at all of fighting himComment

I always liked moderators who enter discussions threads they are supposed to moderate... But I like most those moderators who use epithets...Originally posted by THE REED™I realize you're mocking the people who talk like that.
But, it's actually just as annoying as the people who do it.
Like the people who complain about all the snow on facebook, then you have all the people who complain about the people complaining about the snow.
They're both idiots.
[I'm a Web producer since 1995... And a moderator since 1997... But don't mind...

You know that Showtime pays Floyd's guarantee right?
So do you really think he could have a contract in which he gets paid by Showtime without Showtime's name or signature even being on the contract?
What Kahn signed was an offer man.
Ill refer you to situation with Kovalev and Stevenson. They had an agreement for a fight to be shown on HBO, but without HBO's agreement to pay them what they wanted, they had nothing. Stevenson didnt like the purse HBO was willing to pay him so he walked.Comment

He knows he cannot beat Manny by decision, nobody has legitimately done that since Morales 1 10 years ago, every other fight has been Manny blowing everyone out with the exception of Marquez and those fights were very close, with Manny getting the decisions due to being the aggressor. It makes sense if 2 fighters land an equal number of punches and they are about equally as effective, the judges will give the rounds to the guy who pushed the action and not the guy on his back foot counter punching, and that's how it should be. Floyd will not be able to overcome pacquiao by potshotting, he will need to step it up and punch alot more than usual which will leave him open to powerful left hands from Manny who could knock him out. Floyd knows he cannot beat Manny hence why he is so apprehensive to fight him for triple his career high paydayI don't think Floyd is scared of Manny the fighter. I do think he questions whether or not he would get a decision against Pac in a close fight. People would want to see a rematch and the only way that happens is if Floyd loses and he is not knocking Pac out.
He got a gift decision in the first Corrales fight because he was the Top Rank fighter, he may not want to risk being on the other side of it this time.Comment

The BOTTOM line is IF and that's a BIG IF....BOTH FIGHTERS really want the FIGHT it will get DONE!!! I will be honest if I can walk 10 steps and make the same amount of money as walking 10 miles I rather walk ten steps and it wouldn't matter what anyone else said about it to me. This is what it is like for most people in the world, they don't want to take the hard way of doing things. Floyd is all about MONEY!!! THATS THE BOTTOM LINE!!! He doesn't care about giving the fans what they want or what Manny or anyone else says about him. We can all sit here and speculate why this or why that but until FLOYD WANTS THE FIGHT IT AINT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!! I dont think FLOYD is scared of MANNY or anyone else I think it boils down to RISK vs REWARD!!!Networks didn't need to agree on anything with Amir khan being as though he was with showtime also not rival hbo its two en****** in this case with mayweather and pac so networks have to agree with terms of lead network and everything else being as though hbo doesn't wanna use same blueprint they used for Tyson vs Lewis fightComment

Ok so why cant Floyd sign an offer then? Hes scared plain and simpleFunny.

This fight shhh has been a big soap opera. This fight is irrelevant as hell today because regardless of who won they didn't face the best version of each other and thats an undeniable. Doesn't matter which side you support, neither man is what they were five, four, three years ago. At this point the only reason for this fight happening is for the history books and to make ppl a whole lot of money. The thing that pisses me off though is that this is setting up the precedent for the stars in the making of the sport.Comment

I still think he was under contract in the beginning, but either way golden boy has promoted every single fight since he left top rank and that's a fact. I could be wrong about him being under contract I've been wrong plenty of times in the past, but bottom line does it really matter? The fact still remains golden boy has promoted or co promoted like you say every fight. Manny has his fights co promoted by top rank too, he has MP promotions but call it what you want top rank promotes his fights just like golden boy promoted mayweatherFact is you was wrong he wasn't under contract with golden boy he used them to co promote his fights because they was they biggest promotional company out there other then top rank he could of used any other main events etc he choose golden boy because of name recognition aloneComment
