pacquiao can make money in different ways. his name is worth money forever in the philippines.

floyd's name is worth money for however long he fights. after he's retired for good, his name wont be worth money anymore.

its in floyd's financial interest to make the pacquiao fight.

The more money he makes the more he's gonna spend. He's not going to make any smart investments. While I want the Pac fight to happen, its not the answer to his problems. In a weird way, it might actually make things worse. Perhaps he can spend some of the Pac fight money on the best mental health experts in the world.

In every thread, you are unrelenting in your defence of Floyd. Normally I would find this kind of loyalty very noble. But your responses here assume that many just want to express hate and the negativity that surrounds him are unimportant.

Wrong, and Wrong again! Floyd's issues are self-inflicted, and most boxing fans care what fighters do in and out of the ring. A fight is nothing without the drama and the buildup, and part of the drama is the boxer's character and background. Many of Pac's fans are Filipino, just as many of Floyd's are black, because background matters - just are their characters matter.

So, please stop with the BS that you only care about what he does inside the ring. If that's all you care about, then why are you always trying to defend him?

Well, as for Floyd's problems being self inflicted, I have to disagree. Psychological problems like that don't just develop all by themselves. I'd say much of it has to do with his father being abusive to him a child, his mother being a drug addict, and his parents not living together. Assuming that Floyd's claims of a messed up childhood are true, it likely would have significantly contributed to his "issues".

As to what causes some posters to defend him for everything he does so vehemently, however, is beyond me.

I hate haters , I find obsessive hate is a form of insanity , I dont defend what he does outside of a boxing ring , I question the validly and accuracy of reports that is very different than defending the actions , I go in on the haters , if you cant see that your not looking .

If Floyd has OCD, that might be why he's so protective of his "0" and why he would avoid certain fights. Not having a perfect record would drive him nuts. Wow, that just blew my mind.
