The article actually states that financial troubles were the reason for his return after announcing his retirement. It also details his spending habits and his OCD. I suspected he had OCD which would explain why he never shows up under prepared for fights. GSP and other great fighters suffer from OCD.

if floyd doesnt fight pacquiao, he's ensuring he will go broke less than a decade into his full retirement.

pacquiao can make money in different ways. his name is worth money forever in the philippines.

floyd's name is worth money for however long he fights. after he's retired for good, his name wont be worth money anymore.

its in floyd's financial interest to make the pacquiao fight.
