I don't think people will care as much about Mayweather not fighting Pacquiao as much as his fans want to believe. People don't like to remember how Tyson paid Lennox Lewis to not fight him, but Tyson is still considered an all time great.

Even if Mayweather retires and never fights Pacquiao (which would be disappointing)...At the end of the day, Mayweather will stay undefeated forever in boxing history and Pacquiao won't. Which is all casual fans usually care about. It is what it is.

Now now, you're being a bit too hard on the "little sh.it." To be fair, he wasn't reluctant to fight Floyd per se the first time around. He was just reluctant to do random drug testing up until two weeks of the fight. Let's just hope his promoter is truly on board now that he's cycled off. Arum apparently learned how to contact Mayweather this time around and isn't negotiating with himself, so that's a great start!
