Unfortunately for Manny he has people representing him that aren't looking out for his best interests. By the time he comes to this realization it's going to be too late. Almost Rocky-like which would be ironic.
if anything manny is getting the most shine out of any current active boxers at this moment. now if manny ends up being broke, then thats his fault. but how is he not being represented well?

The last time the fight was close to happening, this is what HBO Sports President Ross Greenburg had to say.... "You're going to have to ask Floyd Mayweather why this fight isn't happening"

And before you say that there were no negotiations going on, Ross also said this.

"Fights like Mayweather vs. Pacquiao are significant because of these fighters' ability to connect with sports fans around the world. It's unfortunate that it won't happen in 2010," Greenburg said in a statement. "I had been negotiating with a representative from each side since May 2nd, carefully trying to put the fight together. Hopefully, someday this fight will happen. Sports fans deserve it."

The first and really only negotiation aside from present day.

Yes it was close to happening, the 40 mill dollar offer was the ONLY roadblock.....

We've already discussed this. Yes, both sides were "negotiating" with Greenburg, not each other. This time and back in 2009/2010, both sides said they were directly negotiating.

Soon as Pacquiao agreed to USADA blood-testing and Mayweather was offered $100 mil guaranteed and 60-40 and didn't sign right there..I keow the fight wasn't happening...

Mayweather v. Cotto 2 is already agreed in in principle for May 2... I'm sure May overpaid for Cotto just to try to save face to avoid Pacquiao...he never wanted any parts of that boy...

No, it wasn't close. Arum told ESPN he wasn't interested in the fight.
