He used the lame excuse of the cut Pacquiao suffered against Marquez, saying he might not be ready for May. (I've never heard of a cut taking more than six months to heal.) However, earlier this week, when Arum thought Mayweather would be on ice behind bars, he said there was a good possibility Pacquiao would fight in May.

Moments after Mayweather was granted the continuance, Arum changed his tune.

I'm not saying that this is proof that he is holding up the fight this time, but it's not like it's out of the realm of possibility.

      .....SECURE, you say?

These are only a handful and we havent scratched the surface of the ones that are racist as ***(at least 95%) and have copped bans for such. Get it through your thick head(if possible), Floyd's fanbase are universally regarded by all other fanbases as the worst in not just boxing, but quite possibly the entire sporting world.

      Secure, my arse!
I'm one of the floyd fans but what u say are true.

        • Arum is a shrewd business man. One thing I know is if you let somebody ruin your day, ITS YOUR FAULT.

IF JR is gonna use this as an excuse its HIS FAULT. IF JR lets Arum mess with his mind he is a simpleton.

IF JR the so called business man allows Arum to get in his way to making 100 million plus its HIS FAULT.

IF JR is not Man enough to work with another business man its HIS FAULT.

IF JR can't be simple enough to sign the contract , agree that Pac has agreed to his ****** demands is ALL HIS FAULT.

IF JR uses Arum as his excuse to get out of the fight, then JR is the biggest disgrace to ever lace up the gloves.

IF JR DUCKS Pac this time its All HIS to live with and the WORLD will finally realize they have been duped by this Fraud for ten long years.

JR has DUCKED every threat in the WW division. HE HAS NOT FOUGHT ONE PRIME WW ELITE IN HIS LIFE !!!!

            • This is for all of the people who are crying. Floyd is fighting cotto on may 2nd. It is a smarter buisness decision cause cotto holds the wbc middleweight title if floyds wins he will hold 3 different titles in 3 different weight classes at the same damn time. I'm sure will fight pac in sept and we don't have to worry about pac loosing his title he will just fight another c class jr welterweight like jesse vargas or some no name fighter from australia. lmao

What you think does not matter. We are talking about perception and what the media wants the general public to believe. They will always be kinder to Pacquiao, regardless of what both men have achieved.

Pacquiao, the underdog, Pacquiao, the rags-to-riches success story, Pacquiao, the Bruce Lee/Elvis Presley/Barrack ***** megaclone, Pacquiao, the one who exceeded expectations, Manny, the documentary, etc.,.

It is already happening and whatever you may think has no bearing on what will be discussed fifty years from now. Floyd will always be portrayed as the bad guy in this charade. The coward who didn't fight the midget.

Smarter business decision? The only thing a new belt does for Floyd's boxing business is it will charge him an extra $8000 per annum sanctioning fee.

The smarter business decision would be to help Manny Pacquiao make his career high pay day and avoid the sanctioning fees Cotto's belt would burden Mayweather Promotions with.

                    • Floyd can't afford Cotto, I wonder what plan B is.

Maybe there is something to the Mundine thing and the Australia trip.
