This is a very good point... Arum literally put grueling time, and effort into making Chavez, all in hopes he could become good enough, just good enough, so with marketing ploys, promoitional advantages, etc., he could make some real money in big fights.

After 5 years of Arum carefully matching him, and guiding him, gradually taking him up one level at a time... Arum gets him to where he's getting 5 million guarantees, basically more than anybody n boxing not named Pacquiao, Mayweather, or Klitschko (sometimes). And on par with Cotto, and Canelo.
