I think Sho can look out for themselves, and would not agree to the fight if the terms were unfair. It really does sound like Floyd is really trying every and anything to find a way out. Lol, he really does not want to fight Pacquiao at all.
No he did not say that.

It was a report on twitter by Lance Pugmire that the SHO-HBO part of the negotiations is part of the overall contract both Floyd and Pac would have to sign. And while Pac has no bad blood with SHO, there is alot of bad blood between Floyd and HBO so Floyd will have his say that part of the negotiation as well.

So if the fight doesn't happen, it's safe to say Floyd had something to do with it. The sad thing is that we'll never know the truth because, CBS & SHO will have to protect Floyd's image, if he backs out. They have no choice but to cover for their cash cow! Can't badmouth their own product.
There is a lot of money to be made over delay rights or else it wouldn't be an issue. It sounded like Showtime wanted the same deal as Lewis-Tyson where the winning fighter's network got exclusive rights and HBO backing the underdog is hesitant. Im not sure I agree with that model. Both companies are putting the fight together and should have some delay rights with perhaps Showtime getting a better deal since they are backing the A side.

Therefore it stands that Arum was already jeopardizing it, using your logic. But you don't think so because you're biased and want to blame Floyd regardless. To the point where you're having a conversation with someone else blaming Floyd for something he never even said . I get it man. Just own it and move on.
You sound upset. It seems you prefer to attack me personally rather than have a logical debate. I get it. Instead of acknowledging any legitimate points and contribute ones of your own, you'd just rather attack me and call me biased.

I appreciate you trying to keep it level headed unlike most others on this board but you do have a bias against Mayweather that is undeniable

I'm huge fan of Floyd's skills, but not his character. He's flawed for sure. But, he doesn't even have the intelligence, honesty and self-reflection of Mike Tyson. Even when Mike was at his worst, there was always an authenticity to him. Floyd just keeps proving he's spoiled brat and it's not all persona. Even his right-hand person of 12 yrs is coming out with a tell-all book.

Are you wishing that too? Seems you're wrong on two counts now. Let's try it again.

You say Floyd's trash talking jeopardizes negotiations.

Arum has been trash talking throughout.

However, you believe Floyd's trash talk proves he's ducking.

Not biased? Ok. Call it what you would like.

Im the same. I love the way Mayweather fights- his level of skill is something else to behold. I think the person is utter scum and the most insecure person. Its a shame he is the face of boxing not just because he is business first but he tarnishes the reputation of the sport of being thuggish. Thats where I am so appreciative of Pacquiao.

My point is just that Mayweather may be preventing this fight from happening but we cant just take Arum for face value because he has been shown many times to act counterproductive and spread boldface lies.

Now you're intentionally misquoting me, which is another tactic for personal attack.

I said Floyd can trash talk about Arum all he wants.

Arum and Pac have publicly said they agreed and are now using the media to pressure Floyd to sign. But that has nothing to do with the TV negotiations because they've stated publicly that they already agreed to what was asked of them.

If the fight doesn't happen on May 2nd, I highly doubt it's mainly because of the TV deal.

I agree, Arum can be flat out obnoxious and untrustworthy. He's more or less a white collar snake. He's a lawyer that knows how to be manipulative with his public statements. But when he first said he was speaking directly with Les Moonves, apparently he wasn't lying. It seems now that Moonves was really involved in the negotiations.
