Is this a shittyer fight than Floyd vs Cotto on PPV?

    It is not shittyer...

Canelo and Oscar doing all they can in order to ruin Floyd Cinco de Mayo weekend -- period.
They sure are trying. I'm guessing having Canelo on HBO will definitely put a dent in Floyds PPV numbers on the same night. Maybe as much as a couple hundred thousand buys who knows. I'll be watching the " free" fight for sure over a unneeded rematch with Cotto with Manny sitting there wanting the fight.

... "Put a dent in Floyd PPV numbers"?
... It would ruin Floyd's PPV numbers...

If sold the right way, Canelo fighting a bad ass jailbird KO artist like Kirkland would attract at least one million views on regular HBO... Not no mention that Kirkland may win by KO as well -- suspense granted...

... What kind of suspense would deliver a Floyd-Cotto fight?

The same kind every other Floyd fight does. By the 8th round you start talking about the kids, baseball, what's for dinner the next night etc...as in none lol...

I remember thinking the same thing about Kirkland Angulo. Thought Angulo would end him in 2 rounds. Turned out I was wrong and was a great fight.

Never count out a motivated fighter. Lets hope for a great fight.

I am a die hard life long boxing fan, and I am getting so SICK of the politics of boxing. I think mos of us don't expect Floyd to fight Pacquiao, but I was sure Canelo/Cotto was gonna get done. This **** is getting worse and worse and can honestly say, this is the worst era in boxing as far as the fans getting the major fights they want, and I have been watching boxing for over 20 yrs!!!!

I will watch this fight over anything Mayweather does because like I;ve been saying for 6yrs, this fight with Pacquiao is not happening!!!

I am a Cotto fan as well but, he ****ed that fight woth canelo up,andif he doesn't get the Floyd fight he's gonna look really bad!!!!! I can justify his side from a money standpoint if he gets Floyd, but not from Floyds. It would be a clear duck, and no disrespect but nobody outside of Puerto Ricans wanna see that fight again.

Once again I am a huge Cotto fan before anyone says I'm hatin

This is a really good fight and is being under appreciated by posters in this thread.

Canelo isn't some clenching inside game master, he has slow cement feet, and he will stand his ground.

I don't see how this wouldn't be an entertaining scrap. Canelo better starch him by the end of the first two or he may not make it the distance with Kirkland.

Kirkland is known to get buckled early but seems to become more resistant to shots as the fight wears on and he has a great gas tank, power, no defense, throws in volume.

My major issue is that Kirkland has had one fight in three years. He's not going to be the same fighter.

Even if he was, he's too wide open and wreckless for a fighter like Canelo. Kirkland doesn't have the greatest chin either.

Until a couple rounds go by filled with him blocking punches with his chin then it seems like he is just unfazed by shots, but will he make it a few rounds with Canelo? Hard to say, if he does Canelo could be in trouble.
