to clarify I do not think that vitali is a better fighter than toney, but as it stands right now vitali was a better HEAVYWEIGHT than toney is.. if rahman beats toney tomorrow that should conlude that vitali is better than toney in the HEAVYWEIGHT division. Overall, james toney had a better career than klit had and is greater IMO, doesn't mean he is a better HEAVYWEIGHT than klit just a better overall fighter/career.

IfToney loses then his fat ass is done and the heavyweight "experiment" was a failure and he neve belonged. ha ha ha
At this age I agree, but losing one fight in the past however many years is not a big deal. Fighters lose fights, its inevitable, the man is still a LOCK for the HOF.

This is a great point. Bozo likes to point out logical flaws here and there, but fails to notice that most of his posts are outright flawed on the grounds that you've mentioned.

Toney's most impressive win is a decision over Ruiz, one of the worst title holders in boxing history. If he beats Rahman he will be just neck and neck with where Vitali was when he retired.

And no I will not be very impressed if Toney beats Rahman because he is custom made for Toney. Toney should have no problem parrying that jab and slipping the right hand. Rahman is not the guy to beat Toney. I'd like to see Toney fight Wladimir, Samuel Peter (a fight he'll never take), and perhaps a rising star like a Sultan Ibragimov before I consider him the man at heavyweight. Let's see him just get by Rahman in the condition he's in before we even get that far.

I find it interesting that if Vitali had beaten Ruiz, Guinn, and a shot Holyfield you'd still refuse to give him ANY respect at all. Toney does it and suddenly he's the most dominant force in the division.

Yes, lets get it straight. Because nowhere did I say I was looking to compare the two resumes as of recent directly, because with Vitali's retirement it's futlie.

But a win over Ruiz and a stoppage victory over Holyfield a few years ago is just about as if not more impressive than anything Vitali ever did.

You do realize Kirk Johnson LOST to Ruiz don't you?

You nut huggers are all the same. You want to twist Corrie Sanders and Danny Williams into He-men.

          They were ****ty fringe contenders.

The bottom line is that the old man was crying about Toney not having accomplished anything at Heavyweight, when he was riding shot gun on the Vitali Klitschko wagon.

          That's irony in itself.

What happned to Wlad when Sanders beat him into your nightmares?

Guys lose fights, and rankings are adjusted as such.

How difficult is that to understand?

Maybe go and phone your brother for some insider info.

...Now here your really rambling and nearly incoherant pal. Take a breath!!!! What do my actions or words about anything haveto do with the conversation about Toney. You are trying to change the subject because your on the ropes in your attempt to prop Toneyup as the greatest Heavy out there. You got **** to back that logic and you still won't have **** if he beats Rahman as expected. However, if he loses, then you were completely full of it from day one, and your boy was never legit at heavyweight.

              Do yourself a favor.

Read your post right here that I've quoted.

              And then look at this:

Now just think about it for a minute and remember this is a boxing website.

I could not agree more. The fact of the matter is, Toney's victories at HW are more impressive than Vitali's by far. Its only the blind nuthuggers that try to blow up fringe guys like Sanders and Williams into better fighters than they are.

Coming from multi account boy, that sure means a lot.

Achillies is just mad he was made to look a fool when he was hating on Toney's personality and trying to justify Mike Tyson's past actions.

Where did "great" Heavy ever come into play?

You were questioning his tenure at Heavyweight period.

Nothing you can cry or rant about changes the fact he's top 5 right now deservingly, and will be near or at the top should he win tomorow.

There's no questioning his tenure at Heavyweight. He's deservingly ranked among the top fighters right now.
