Since when does the B-Side offer the number 1 pound for pound fighter a flat rate with no pay-per-view?
Nobody in the boxing industry believes that Manny was the A-side before Floyd went to prison. I really don't believe that YOU believe it either. I can understand hating Floyd, but don't attempt to change history. The blood test issue was a big mistake, Roach admitted it! The stadiums, cuts, etc. was a pure duck! Now Manny is in a bad spot, and he's partly the blame. Floyd is acting like a b*tch today, but he has a right to, because Arum has ****ed him too many times.

        • No point in arguing with FIomos, their arguments all lead to the same point...

Floyd doesn't need to fight Pac as long as his Plan Bs are better than Pac's Plan Bs...

Cong**** guys! I'm sure Floyd appreciates you guys giving him a pass to fight whomever he wants...

Mayweather-Cotto 2... this time Cotto has Freddie Roach! What an exciting build up...

I can already picture the All Access: "If I had Roach in the first fight, I would have knocked Floyd out" OOOOOOOO How exciting...

Ironically, Floyd would be fighting (what he used to criticize Pac for) Pac's leftovers for a second time at a catch weight (which he criticized Pac for) for a title he will never defend after he wins (which FIomos criticized Pac for at 154)...

Here's the smokescreen you ****ing idiot:

PPV fights have become so common since the emergence of Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao circa 2007-2008 that it's almost ridiculous. Depending on how you break it down, starting with Mike Tyson's first round knockout of Michael Spinks back in June of 1988, through Lewis-Holyfield II in November of 1999, there were 25 PPV cards. Starting with Lennox Lewis's second round knockout over Michael Grant in April of 2000, there have been 45 PPV bouts concluding with Saul Alvarez's split decision over Erislandy Lara this past summer. Let’s forget about the 1980 and 1990s, and take into account 2000-2014. That's 45 PPV cards and 90 fighters who fought the main event. And of those 90 fighters, only Kevin McBride who fought Mike Tyson in his last fight was less accomplished than Algieri, and you have to go back to 1995 and inject Tyson opponent Peter McNeeley to find another less credentialed fighter than Chris who was part of the main event of a PPV card

                http://www.thesweetscience.com/news/...-a-ppv-fighter

At first I thought Pacquiao beating Algieri didn't fool anybody, but I think I was wrong. You'd think that the lousy PPV numbers would suggest that the public knew it wasn't much of a fight. And that winning a decision, when he really needed a knockout, and didn't get it over a novice wouldn't restore the public's sense that Pacquiao is now a killer again. But apparently it has?

I tried to explain before the bout how Pacquiao-Algieri was specifically made to create the illusion that Manny is back now and is as good as and smarter than ever. And you know what? Based on what's scoured in the sports section of many newspapers and on the Internet, they were more successful than I thought they'd be. Because it seems Manny went from being the prohibitive underdog when matched up with Mayweather after being knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez two years ago, to now being almost even money based on him taking Chris Algieri to boxing school last month.

Based on the consensus, Pacquiao gets some breaks that Mayweather would never get in the eyes of the boxing public. And since 2009 I've maintained and have been consistent that Mayweather-Pacquiao hasn't happened because of Mayweather's reluctance more so than Pacquiao's. Ever since the talk of them fighting each other became a hot topic, it's been mostly because of Floyd why it didn't happen. And I still stand by that.

But what's fair is fair… I wonder how well Mayweather would've been received if he signed to fight Algieri and beat him as handily as Pacquiao did?

For starters, Floyd would've been excoriated by both boxing fans and the media for fighting a no hope opponent like Chris Algieri. Leading up to the fight we would've read about how Algieri barely beat Ruslan Provodnikov and the fight is just another hoax by Mayweather to pocket $30 million and avoid fighting Pacquiao.

Let us suppose that it was Mayweather who peppered Algieri for 36 uninterrupted minutes on November 23rd instead of Pacquiao, which of course isn't much of reach. What would the post-fight chatter be? I can only speculate, but I'd be willing to bet that the loudest voices wouldn't be declaring that Floyd is back and is as sharp as ever. Nor would the talk be centered on how quick and accurate he is and how impossible it is to lay a glove on, and you know I'm right. I think it would be more on the lines of, "Mayweather fought Algieri because he knew he couldn't lose and how it says nothing as to how great he still is because he handled a beginner like Algieri." And then every name fighter campaigning between 140-147 who was more deserving and dangerous than Algieri would be named and suggested as that's who Floyd should've fought instead. And if that were the case, they'd be correct.

So why does Pacquiao get a pass?

Do you know the reason why the perception is different? Floyd offered Manny $40 million flat... which is such a joke..no one in the media expects Manny to fight Floyd... although Manny is Floyd's first choice... Floyd is ducking Manny by pricing himself out so of course the media is going to hold the ducker to a higher standard than the duckee... Manny fights anyone his promoter puts in front of him... Floyd has a history of ducking fights... Margarito..Pac...Winky Wright...Sergio Martinez..Paul Williams... he never took any of those fights when they were considered the most dangerous... Nobody has any su****ion about Manny ducking fights...

The Lewis-Tyson business model already exists between SHO & HBO. So there is NO EXCUSE for them to blow the biggest event in the history of the sport over *********s to that model. CBS and Time Warner are watching closely over their children SHO & HBO. If the deal collapses, these network execs could lose their jobs. So they will NOT be the culprits, but SHO and Les Moonves will have to take the heat, if Floyd backs out, in order to protect the brand of their #1 fighter.

If this billion dollar fight doesn't happen, the real culprit is FLOYD!!! Floyd is the only one that can change the terms at the very last minute and that's exactly what it looks like.
