      Sounds like a good choice.

I really don't understand Froch's obsession with Chavez Jr. I think he's drastically overestimating Chavez's star power.

Hopkins is 50 years old and just got his arse kicked for 12 straight rounds. It's not even a big money fight and not on PPV.
What makes Chavez Jr. a better legacy fight than Hopkins, though? Yes, Kovalev kicked his ass, but he's a big LHW with all the tools; it was bound to happen one day. Froch usually doesn't even hit the SMW limit, and Hopkins was never a big LHW, so Hopkins-Froch would be a somewhat natural size match-up. Or they could do a 172-ish CW.

Also, would Froch's legacy really be enhanced by having a never-was like Chavez Jr. on it, rather than a legend like Hopkins? The latter would be a more challenging fight as well. Not pretty to watch, probably not exciting, but much more difficult. A perpetually inactive Chavez Jr. brings nothing to a fight except size, and an almost guaranteed doping scandal afterwards.

As for PPV... Well, they managed to sell Hopkins-Dawson. That shows anything can sell.

It's a soft touch in the fight capitol, this way he can not only headline a Vegas but defeat his opponent too, all the while looking exceptional doing it, therefore in his head he will be comparable to Calzaghe. It isn't about money.

If Froch avoids GGG and Hopkins in favor of Chavez he is not the warrior he claims to be. This is chiefly about legacy and comparability, after losses to Ward and Kessler the guy has braimnwashed himself into believing he is at the same level as Calzaghe, even though Joe conclusively schooled Mikkel in his prime.

I see Hopkins beating Froch no sweat and GGG making Froch a good boy so yeh it's not just about Chavez Jr having star attraction but because he doesn't want to lose his last fight.

GGG a great fight but not nearly big enough yet. At least the fight has legs unlike Hopkins.

Hopefully Chavez has his **** together by the summer.
                  It's a clear duck

                  Don't try to sugarcoat it

Froch just ducked a 50 year old man

                      Legay fight? Lol...that old chestnut.

Hookins is not a "legacy fight" either and there's no money in it. Might as well fight a "non-legacy fight" and get paid.
