If this story is true then it is sad and a real tragedy because Jermain Taylor was always regarded as a gentleman and one of the nicest guys in the sport of boxing. Hopefully he can pull his life back together.
Perhaps all the head trauma he has absorbed in his boxing career has finally taken its toll and as a result has lead to some substantial loss of brain tissue, which in turn could explain this type of devious behavior.
What the hell is wrong with him? Does he suffer from some kind of mental illness or something? Taylor is a danger to himself and to other family. I hope he gets some serious help or he'll end up in jail for the rest of his life or get killed.
Wow. I feel bad for the guy, his behavior is starting to sound like symptoms of CTE. Let's prey we don't hear about Taylor committing suicide in the future.
Man, this is sad. I've seen some videos here and there about him uploading "vine" videos toting a gun and acting unlike his usual self. It's sad to see him like this. He always seemed like a real laid back, country guy who was really committed to family and seemed to have a good head on his shoulders despite his glaring flaws style-wise.
I remember when my interest in boxing just absolutely ****ed around 2008-2009 and I would watch ALL these "Countdown" shows that HBO would produce and in them (Taylor/Pavlik 1 and 2), you'd see Jermain Taylor being married to a beautiful wife (a former WNBA player), a beautiful daughter...fast forward to several years later and it's sad. Neither Pavlik nor Taylor are relevant, one retired after one-sided losses coupled with suspected alcoholism and the other suffered heartbreaking back-to-back stoppages (I don't care WHO you were rooting for that night, that was sad) and never was the same.
What a total moron. He should of waited till after the fight to bust caps at no one out on a busy intersection in public. Some people don't learn. If he had another brain it would die of loneliness.
