ive been a big fan of leo for a couple years now, i really enjoy his style, but this is bull****. you cant say that rigo doesnt sell and then ask for the most money youve ever made, just to get in the ring with him, because you know you cant get that... its a duck. he needs to stop saying he wants to fight this guy and that guy for the fans, its for the money and youre making it pretty obvious.

Al Haymon is going to put him on NBC against Abner Mares.
Mares will knock him out, and then there will be no more talks about him fighting Rigo. Mares will send him down to 118.

According to Fat Dan, Robert Guerrero is getting paid 2.5 million to fight Thurman. While $3M is obviously too much (some it you gotta to at east chop up to starting high not to give up negotiation leverage), I understand where's he's getting these excessive figures from if he's seeing what he's Haymon peers are getting in the NBC deal. Wouldn't surprise me if Leo got at least 2M just for Mares.

This is going to be typical in the Haymon camp. Take note that Danny Garcia didn't take the Matthysse fight without giving everyone a hard time. Schaefer eventually gave in and gave Garcia's last minute $2 million demand. Imagine how much he would demand in the rematch. Again, these are not even box office materials where the return in investment is guaranteed.
