Yes Mayweather sucks as a fighter. Hes a coward. Hes a bltch made woman beater with no balls. He is BORING as *** to watch and none of his fights have ever lived up to the hype. He puts people to sleep with his boring bullshlt. His act has gotten old. The non reading piece of shlt needs to retire from boxing.
He will never be remembered as the greatest. Greatest coward...yes. He would never beat Manny. Manny would box his face off. Expose Floyd for the fraud he is.

Marquez's opinion is based on what? How can he say that Floyd doesn't need Manny for his status as one of the greatest, if not the greatest? 1 and 2 top fighters not only in their division, but the whole boxing world. It's been 5 years or so now that most knowledgable people in boxing world knows that Manny is the ONLY fighter that would make Floyd run for his money. Think about it, if those people doesn't think Manny possesses some skills that would bother or defeat Floyd they would have stop mentioning his name against Floyd. Floyd deep down inside knows it too. Is Floyd the greatest ever that laced them up? No, he's definitely be remember as the best defensive boxer that ever lived. Both Manny and Floyd was tremendous fighter on the lower weights. Age, fame, money, change all that once they both reached the plateau of their success. Both were protected by their handlers. Do they need each other to cement their status as one of the greatest? Probably not, but then again we wouldn't talk about Ali without mentioning Frazier, Leonard without Duran, Tyson without Holyfield, etc, etc. so in my opinion, yes they need to face each other not only for their legacy and placement of their name in the history of boxing, but most importantly, they owe this fight for the millions of fans that put them where they at and the fortune they both enjoying right now.

Marquez is right, and he should know, because it's all a matter if taste. Being the best defensive fighter is NOT HOT! For the purists, that love the Pernell Whitakers just as much as Julio Cesar Chavez Sr., Floyd is an ATG, but he's not THE ATG! I think Marquez is a better fighter than Pacquiao, but he'll never get those props (just like Floyd won't) because the majority of people who spend their hard-earned money to watch a fight, they prefer Pacquiao, or the "Rocky" type, more than Marquez, or the "Ip-Man" type. The greatness of Whitaker, Mayweather, and Marquez, wouldn't even be recognizable if there was not slow-motion replays! The beat up, bloodied warrior, overcoming the pain and the odds, will always be more appealing.

LOL Marquez better fighter than PAcquiao?. Their standing is still 2-1-1 Pacquiao.

Pacquiao was considered by many as one of the greats in this era along with Mayweather.

To win that fight, Marquez hired Memo to get new power that can knock out Pacquiao in their 4th fight.

The difference is not that floyd is too defensive... It's that he didn't fight everybody, even Pac is coming too late even if it happens. That 0 means about as much as Calzaghe's.. Ali is goat

I agree with JMM. Floyd is one of the best of the past 10-15 years and maybe top 25-30 in history imo. No one looks back his legacy and says he's Ali, Ray Robinson, Joe Louis, Willie Pep, Henry Armstrong, Jack Johnson, etc. More people will say it's a shame Pacquiao vs Mayweather never happened. Great boxer for sure tho.

More to the point -- he won't be considered the greatest without him.

Floyd is top 10 ATG RIGHT NOW! A win over Manny cements that and maybe moves him up some spots.

Tim Duncan is one of the best players ever. This is universally accepted. He's in the discussion of the greatest pf of all time. He has the numbers, the rings and the great playoff performances. Duncan is held in the same regard as the other nba legends.
