i can agree with that and i think most can. we all know floyd isnt there to make it a war. but hes still skill wise the best we ve seen in recent times and some will say ever.i understand wanting to please fans but some fighters dont mind getting hit as much as others. you have to work with what you have and floyd doesnt have the power and will to make it a war. some fighters are exciting and some arent thats all there is to it. but floyd has built his name and rep up to where he doesnt have to have wars to sell out which is pretty amazing. if u keep winning and/or your stock will always be high regardless how you win.

True, his stock Is high due to his ability to adjust to his opponent and find ways to win along with his technical boxing skills.

Respect Is another story. What people fail to realize Is that a fighters stock can also rise even In defeat depending on how the fighter lost.

Gatti, Ward and numerous other fighters are good examples of fighters that were always held In high regard due to the excitement and never surrender attitude that they brought to the ring each and every time they fought.

In one sense Floyd Is not to blame due to being so much more superior to everyone else that he has been In the ring with but as you stated and from what he has shown, up to this point, he doesn't seem to have that fight to the death quality that Is so fan friendly.

It's correct, beating Pacquiao won't make Mayweather the greatest of all time, because Pacquiao is not the greatest of all time. He is a ATG though.

Many people have beat Leonard, Duran, Ali and so far own, and they are still not perceived to be the greatest, heck most of them that beat them aren't even considered a legend.

When was he ever in contention for such recognition? Most intelligent boxing fans see the whole TBE thing for the hokey, cheesy marketing slogan that is. The very notion that Mayweather is anywhere near comparable to the likes of Robinson, Greb, Charles, Langford & Armstrong is quite hilarious.

Mayweather stands out in a truly ****, woeful era, and even then has often neglected to fight the toughest challenges available. The fact that we're still debating whether he's going to fight his number one challenger for the last five years is a testament to how much his resume is lacking in comparison to other greats.

I disagree he's been out almost 2 decades he's been apart an active era and a decent era beating younger foes....Ali is the greatest but no doubt without or with this fight he's in top 10

Floyd is a lot like Hopkins in that he's adjusted his style to compensate for his declining physical ability. And remain fighting at a high level. He wasn't nearly as "boring" as a young fighter.

when all the attention was on Pacquiao in 2009 for knocking out bigger guys than him, people accusing him of use of PED's, he just stopped knocking guys out, and still can't knock C- fighters such as Rios and Algieri.

Pacquiao has KO power at 140. He has knockdown power at 147. Now ask yourself, who has KOed Bradley, JMM, Rios lately? Damn even heavy handed Provodnikov couldn't stop Algieri.

Pacquiao's camp wasn't complaining about drug testing, they were complaining about the random part. The part where I can wake you up in the middle of the night really close to fight night. They wanted to put a restriction on how close to the fight they're allowed to do the test. They also wanted the state commission to administer it, not the company that Floyd's camp preferred.

B-hop and Andre ward both refused Olympic style random drug testing and their opponents went on with the fight.

Pacquiao is clean. Just ask Floyd. He stop accusing Pac when Alex Ariza join his camp.
