Sounds like a power move from HBO to get the upper hand on negotiations with Showtime. "If you don't budge we will put on a free Canelo card and eat into your profits"

      154.5?

I thought Mayweather didn't like catch weights. I thought he fought fighters when they were comfortable.

I guess that catch weight criticism only applies to Pacquiao.

Mayweather's people are staying pretty quiet. Cotto's own legal adviser said in more than one interview that Haymon approached them about the rematch. The Mayweather-Pacquiao talks are in the same position where the other talks were. One side agreed to everything and the other side held out until the side that agreed walked away. I have a feeling that Pacquiao's side will also wait until they can't wait any longer and then walk away.

Of course I want mayweather/pacquiao but im not knocking may/cotto 2 either. I believe rejuvenated Cotto has a better chance at defeating Floyd this time than he did the first fight.

But please keep the fire under may/pac!

Have you heard anything about Arum and Oscar getting together and possibly making Canelo/Pacquiao?
They've talked about it in the past, and if Mayweather and Cotto fight each other, have you heard of them possibly going through with the Pac/Nelo fight?

Naw bro,I held back the tears, but what really had the waterworks going for me was when maidana viciously almost bit mayweathers hand off in the rematch, and pretty boy Floyd saw his life flash in front of his eyes. I couldn't stop crying when Floyd kept showing bayless his empty glove, trying to get maidana dq'd. It was really touching, and emotional.

cotto is the champion. he's the one that has to come in over 154 and a limit of 160. mayweather can come in at any weight he wants.

                  I like it.

Regardless of who Canelo fights, he will take a significant chunk away of Mayweather's audience, and especially with all the potential backlash.

                  Just fight Pac already...jesus

                    You think?!

Canelo should just fight on the undercard. Let GoldenBoy eat a little bit too.

If mayweather ducks pacquiao this time to fight cotto its obvious that was the plan all along considering cotto just ducked canelo. There's going to be huge fan backlash and nobodies going to watch it especially since it wasn't a close fight the first time and its simply another cherry pick for mayweather and an easy payday for cotto. Those two scared bishes can go fight on may 2nd and pacquiao and canelo can actually put on a good fight may 2nd going head to head. I guarantee that would outsell mayweather cotto 2 to 1 because that would be the warriors going against the scared duckers. Manny would get his ppv crown back. They better not let mayweather off the hook this time he needs to go take his beating against Pac like a man or forever be branded a coward.
