Pacquiao fights Jessie Vargas (as Top Rank already had the plan for), and Khan takes a stay-busy fight (against someone like Josesito Lopez) in March/April to then set up Brook-Khan for the Summer (or the outside chance of Mayweather-Khan in September as Floyd's last fight).

Andy Lee is likely to have a soft touch at home, before settling his mandatory defense against Billy Joe Saunders (with Canelo no even ranked in the WBO's top 15, it'll take a bit of chicanery to move Canelo into position).

Because he may not necessarily beat him again. Pacquiao and cotto are the only ones that could beat mayweather. Doesnt meAn they will but they possess the skill set to make it possible. All others don't stand a prayer. Anyone who can't see this don't know sh it about boxing.

I'd rather watch. Mayweather v cotto again than may against no hopers like khan Garcia etal. But I'd rather see may v paq. But if the is kicked down the road give me the rematch and don't waste my time against no hopers.

ACTUALLY, if hes' fighting Cotto for his MW strap then common sense dictates that he fights the best fighter in the division- GGG. No need to recycle fights.

And if he's fighting him at 147-154, then why not get some new blood in there and finally accept Khan's challenge?

Haha.. Cmon fanboys. Take the blinders off. Floyd knows that somehow this fight will get sabotaged behind the scenes and verbally agreed to those terms because he knew the fight wont materialize and can say he did his best to make it happen.
... Or Arum is being Arum, continuing to spin the media without even having all that much of the actual contract put together.

The idea that Les Moonves would just sit and agree to a Arum-proposed 60/40 split, rather than have his accounting people open up the books, determining the actual value that each fighter brought to the table, should've been enough to have most sensible people ponder.

                    No shame with these guys.

I do believe Arum is trying to control the media reports and putting a spin on things but there is no equation you could come up with that would show each fighter's true value. Mayweather v Pacquaio does 3 million PPV buys, Mayweather vs Khan/Cotto does closer to 1 million. Clearly Pacquiao deserves a big cut
