Wlad vs wilder will be absolutely huge. And even slightly more so if wlad announces that it will be his last fight.
I know it's about the money but I don't see either Pov or Pulev pushing for a Wlad rematch anytime so shouldn't they be chasing the next available gold? And if Wilder gets another fight on US soil under his belt, he could very well sell any of these guys as future opponents cos he will be the attraction, not the opponent or even the belt.

I agree Fury wins but he is a very good fighter. He can box and slog it out any time. Not great by any means but exceptional in the division so far.

In Europe, we've got the "lost to Klitshcko" club, Pulev, Povetkin, Chisora and some up and coming guys. Why doesn't someone as highly ranked as Povetkin or Pulev go for the WBC belt and then try for a unification with Wlad? Rather than waiting around to get the Wlad call back. Or, why don't the up and comers in the US travel and fight one of the top ranked european guys, rather than...you guessed it, wait out the Wlad/Wilder sweep stakes.

I think there are some top fights to be made, I'd love to see Wilder contend with Povetkin or Pulev, both very established heavyweights. Or Jennings take on Chisora/Stiverne. The division can be hot again, if the guys grow some balls and actually fight each other.

      Your opinions?
You are close to the dumbest guy on the Scene!

I can't believe you actually made a thread confirming what's been said all along.

Whilst Europe has you shut out of boxing, the era/division sucks.

The moment you play any role in it, suddenly it's "waking up"

If you get flogged out "it will be weak again."

If hypothetically, you defeat WK and take over again "it will be a strong era all over again".

      It's pathetic!

MORE to the point, your boxers are several leagues below their Euro counterparts, There's no way Wilder or Stiverne from that fight last night could EVER win around against Povetkin, Pulev or Klitschko!

      Everyone knows it!

erm....I'm not American, I'm from Britain.

Also, what does everyone know? A few hypothetical fantasy match ups that Povetkin and Pulev are supposed to win?

But does he deserve it? He showed no heart or will in their first match up and since then hasn't really done enough to earn a shot again. Yes the Charr win was impressive but Charr isn't exactly a top tier hw lol

Now, if Povetkin was to go after the WBC belt, he'd be dubiously recognised as a two time champ and give him the perfect spotlight for a Wlad rematch. Right now Fury, Wilder, Jennings and maybe even a comebacking Haye are higher up in the pecking order.

Povetkin makes too much money fighting out of Russia, with the same for Pulev in Germany, to be bothered with getting on a plane and flying out to the US/Canada/Mexico. Similar words could be said for Chisora (he's lost a lot of luster on the world level, but he's still got a good enough name to command attention in the UK).

It's gonna take one, or some, of the young guys to go either way. If Matchroom brings Anthony Joshua over (fights four times in 2015, with one of those fights being in the US) things could get interesting.

American's aren't doing well at any sports at the moment.

Deontay Wilder is the biggest joke in world boxing, if Haye or Fury get their hands on him then its like taking candy from a baby.

Povetkin has more chance of getting a rematch with Wlad because he WANTS to fight Wladimir.

Wilder will never risk that belt in Europe now. IT will be the "Americas" HW title now, because you know you'd lose.

I'm sure Povetkin fighting for the WBC title would make him more money than fighting Takam lol Let's get real here.

This isn't a new occurrence, heavyweights over the last decade or so have just been waiting for the klitschko sweepstakes and fighting bums while they miraculously progress up the rankings. At least for 2 years, the division could have been exciting if we had more fights like Fury/Chisora, Perez/Salamov, Mitchell/Banks, TT/Price but they have been few and far between.
