    Europe v America?

For the best part of the decade we've seen the division stuck in eastern Europe, but now...actually for the last 18 months or so, we've seen heavyweight boxing in America, starting to wake up again. There's Jennings, Stiverne (Canada/Us, can fight on American networks), Perez who might be trying to sell in the US, may be still Arreola and of course, American kingpin, Deontay Wilder.

In Europe, we've got the "lost to Klitshcko" club, Pulev, Povetkin, Chisora and some up and coming guys. Why doesn't someone as highly ranked as Povetkin or Pulev go for the WBC belt and then try for a unification with Wlad? Rather than waiting around to get the Wlad call back. Or, why don't the up and comers in the US travel and fight one of the top ranked european guys, rather than...you guessed it, wait out the Wlad/Wilder sweep stakes.

I think there are some top fights to be made, I'd love to see Wilder contend with Povetkin or Pulev, both very established heavyweights. Or Jennings take on Chisora/Stiverne. The division can be hot again, if the guys grow some balls and actually fight each other.

    Your opinions?

Wilder has already said that he wants the big, stiff idiot Tyson Fury next. Then he would like a Klitschko fight for the end of the year.

That seems like a good plan to me.

Don't think he even gets past Fury, only question Wilder really answered last night were his stamina ones and even then Stiverne didn't push him hard, barely threw punches.

We shall see. To my eyes Fury's lazy arm punches look inferior to Wilder's crisp jab and right hand.

It's a good plan but for plans to come to fruition, the fighter has to have the will. When all the big wigs from GBP, Showtime and so on start getting in his ear, they'll want him to hold onto the title for as long as possible so expect Arreola next, probably Banks or Mitchell after that. They will want a good 12-18 months of money making from Wilder before he steps into a ring with Wlad or Fury.

Forgot about Haye...will he come back successfully? Will he be able to use his right hand as before? I'd like to see him fight 2 - 3 good contenders first.

I think Furys jabs are better and his upper cuts but Wilder holds more power. Plus Fury doesnt get wild when throwing combos yet Wilder was lookin like a wndmill at times last night and Stiverne couldnt capitalise.

Klitschko is not more European than Rigondeaux is American.

He lives in Germany, otherwise he'd need a passport to enter EU.

And trying to turn Wilder into the new American hero is just as pathetic.

Wilder vs povetkin or pulev never happens

Boxing for the fighters is about money

Wlad vs wilder will be absolutely huge. And even slightly more so if wlad announces that it will be his last fight.

Oh I don't rate Fury that highly, I just rate Wilder that poorly. Fury will be the bigger guy also, but he is also far and away the better fighter inside and he would sure as hell cut the ring off better than Stiverne.
