Ali is unlike anything Wilder has ever faced. There is still a good way to go for Wilder before this fight is even worth discussing. If Wilder went on to KO Fury, Wladimir, Povetkin, Haye (after a succesful comeback), etc., and then went on to dominate the division for some years, we could talk about it. Right now, no... Ali would win by decision or late TKO.

What do you mean? I'm not one of the nuthuggers of oldschool boxers, I doubt that Joe Louis would be anything special in modern times. But Ali has proven too much for a guy like Wilder to suddenly be considered able to beat him.

Ali never once fought an opponent as long, heavy, fast, powerful and athletic combined or individually. (his heftiest non-bummy opponent was nearly the same weight as Wilder (Alvin Lewis) but much ****ter and less athletic.)

Ali was smashed from pillar to post, lost to and struggled with fighters that would never step into a professional boxing ring today and Ali himself would be insufficient as a sparring partner for Wilder, let alone an opponent.

These are simple facts mate, Ali was a featherfist punching bag who could barely box.

You really need to look back at the great scriptings of Elroy1 and you would change your opinion you know...

Ross Purity,Sanders,Leapai,Calvin Brock,Francesco Pianeta,Brewster and Chris Byrd to even name a few would obliterate Ali in 3-4 rounds or at the very least deliberately punish Ali to a shoutout for his smack talk.you'd realise this if you payed more attention


And as for Wlad,that look on his face of extreme fear and that brown stain in his red shorts when he faced the mighty Povetkin would be totally absent had he met Ali

Remember when Wlad had to take the most punishment he has taken in nearly ten years when the late Emmanuel Steward smacked him around telling him to go for the kill because Wladimir was embarrassing him against the power punching and ten times faster than Ali,Eddie ******* in the Chambers..yeah thats right ,Whilst Ali and Wlad would be staring down before the fight even started Emmauel would be smacking Wlad on the side of the face "screaming "you better not embarass me boy,go for the instant kill if this goes more than 20 seconds I'm disowning you"

Wilder is a bum beater. Correct. We are on the same page so far.

In Ali's day however there were a couple of guys with much worse records on Ali's resume. I am not talking about bummy opponents, I am talking about a couple of Ali's TOP opponents. Sonny Liston and Ken Norton. Even era and weight irrespective, these guys objectively had a record many times worse than Wilders!

Ironically, Ali never convincingly beat Liston, and Norton realistically beat him 3 times in a row. Ali is credited officially with 2 wins over Liston and 2 over Norton and they are considered even despite the controversies, 2 of his BEST opponents!

Wilder has limited skill BUT Ali himself ALSO had limited skill. Wilder is FASTER than Ali! Wilder has a stiffer JAB than Ali! Wilder doesn't run away, Wilder doesn't wrestle, he purely boxes (only 10% of Ali's performance can even be described as "boxing".

Wilder's physical advantages are so immense over Ali, it is physically impossible for Ali to even mount any kind of fight against him, let alone try to win!

Only the purest of nut bags think of Ali that way. And Stiverne, **** as he was, would still have knocked any HW from the 70's out.
