Lara was suppose to take Canelo to cuban boxing school, but what did he do? He ran for his life like a lil punk because he feared he would get Koed. You bring up Mikey, but where was the coward when he was suppose to fight rios? I like Gamboa and ill give him credit, because he's the only warrior from cuba, but he punked out.

You have some nerve saying Mexicans run and hide like chickens, when you have track runners like lara, abril, barthelemy ect. Those 3 are the biggest chickens of them all!

Generalization is idiotic, period. Especially when it comes to the sport. It's just as bad as when people say, " Orale, Mexicans are all warriors ese!". If you watch the sport more than 2 times a year you would know that everyone loses, quits, gets stopped, throws the towel, etc.. etc.. this is the type of brutal sport we are in love with. However you're claiming all Mexicans are cowards because of LSC ducking Rigo? Lara lost a close decision to Canelo, deal with it.

Mikey Garcia? I have no idea what happened there to be honest.. but wait, wasn't Gamboa supposed to fight Rios at one point? What happened then? Oh no... don't tell me, Gamboa ducked RIOS!!! Cowards...

Seriously, grow the **** up. In fact, when Gamboa was down and out who threw him a lifesaver? His people in Miami? His Cuban fanbase? Lara? Caribe Promotions? Nope, they didn't even look his way. It was those same "Cowardly Mexicans" you hate so much whom gave him a slot as the headliner fight in their little card in a venue in Cancun.

LSC is only an entertaining fighter because he throws alot of punches, doesnt necessarily mean he is top level. I accept that so i dont get annoyed or pissed off that he fights these chumps. my only problem is that he is getting paid good money for these mismatches. why fight rigo for 1mil when ruiz caliber is already 750k?

Both come to fight and both don't wield one punch KO power so you know fist will be flying all night. I have Mares grinding Leo down. Tough fight and it would be a good win for Abner.
Believe it or not, Rigo would be the more exciting fight. If you come out blazing on Rigo the way Leo does, he will counter the hell outta him. It would be an awesome fight! Plus we get to see if he can back up all that **** he was talking. Or if he would get his **** pushed in.

You're a complete and utter moron. Canelo Alvarez fought your boring, absolutely underserving boy in Lara. Lara talked a big game, saying he was going to hurt Canelo, and stop him. The night of the fight came; the big stage for Lara to back up what he spoke, and what did he do? Ran like a scared baby the entire fight.

Barthelomy, Rigondeaux, Abril and Lara have all had their big chance on the big stage. The ratings all have plummeted when they've been on TV. It's no wonder why Showtime, HBO, nor Haymon's NBC program want nothing to do with them. Cubans just don't know how to put on a show.

I can see where you're coming from but personally I think it would be a one sided beat down. Leo doesn't know how to fight against movers, period. He displayed his lack of skill against a few C level "boxers" thus far, imagine what a fighter the likes of Rigo would do. It will be a night of straight lefts down the pipe until the pipe busts and Leo ends up leaking everywhere.

I could be completely wrong and be forced to eat crow though . I mean.. it is boxing after all, anything can happen.

I have all the truth to generalize and what you are saying has nothing to do with the topic. Of course an athlete can loose, get stopped and so on, but in this sport you can't be coward because this is the essence of boxing, be brave.
I'm in shock with this lately cowardly of Mexicans champions. I admire a lot the classical generation of champions but the present is delusional. I can't imagine the real Julio Chavez acting like this with excuses when the number one in the his weight asked him to fight and call him a coward. Im sure he will move forward even for free, just because no one can tell him this and less the champions of his weight class. This is the real macho man.
Be in context. Even when LSC has all the power of GB and the money the real champions is Rigo. Is the champion calling him for fight, not LSC calling Rigo. He has to fight if he doen't want to be called a chicken.
And about generalization again, there are patterns, currents in certain periods of time or generations. There are several rules in the universe. As I said, one if possible, two a coincidence but after three or more you have a rule and a pattern that allow me to generalize. LSC is a coward chicken and is against your pride as Mexicans to justify this.

Don't believe this for a second. What happened to "fight Frampton or Quigg" next. He said this only a few days ago

Leo Santa Cruz is open to future fights against Scott Quigg or Carl Frampton and is even willing to travel for a world title unification clash. The Mexican defends his WBC super-bantamweight title against Jesus Ruiz this Saturday in Las Vegas, but is hoping to battle some fellow belt holders in the near future. Quigg, the current WBA champion, has voiced his desire to face Santa Cruz, but is expected to be sidelined until the summer after undergoing hand surgery.
