Rigo has stepped up to the plate and faced elite competition. He deserves a lesser fight on occasion. LSC has made a career on facing lesser opponents. That's the difference!

Haymon definitely isn't going to let anybody good near Santa Cruz until he cashes out on him in a fight against Mares later this year.

Even tho Santa Cruz was winning, this "TOMATO CAN"(Ruiz) gave Santa Cruz a fight & it was stopped prematurely..If I was sure that Rigondeaux would F U C K Sta.Cruz up, now I'm MORE THAN SURE! & Sta Cruz better not even think of going up in weight to fight Mares or Gonzalez cause they both will pound him into the "dreamland"..He did call out Rigo, but watch him or his father make up another(of many) excuse why not to fight Rigo.

This was the first time that I have seen Santa Cruz and I wasn't impressed at all.

Honestly I think they know it by now the whole goddamn transmision it sounded like they where trying to groom the poor kid to be forced up to 126 where he will be even more handicapped to be fed to Mares to boost Mares back up without fighting Gonzales. If Mares dont rematch Gonzales might as well not fight.

Headline should be "Bayless Steps In at First Opportunity, Grants Santa Cruz 'Stoppage' Win Over Ruiz"

Come on, it's obvious Bayless was waiting for the first justifiable chance he had to step in. That **** was a Calzaghe throwback.

He's deep into Gary Russell Jr. territory at this point, where he's been fighting over-matched no hopers for so long that he hasn't improved at all in 2 or 3 years and is now starting to regress. He looks worse with every fight.

But he is a two division champion. Or is he just more proof that there are way to many belts available?

It was a very entertaining fight against Ruiz since the boy came to fight and LSC work rate always made for fan friendly fights. The body punching from both sides was amazing. LSC is behind Rigo but I believe he could win against Frampton and Quigg. However, Leo is going after Mares next to optimize a paycheck and that fight would likely be an epic battle where Mares should defeat LSC. After that fight, we'll see whether or not Leo continues fighting at 122 or moves entirely to 126.
