I agree canelo takes on all comers and isn't afraid to lose, the difference with fighting ggg is that he might be badly beaten. Losing a lopsided decision or close fight is one thing, but being beaten around the ring could potentially destroy him. For that reason I dont see management looking him to fight ggg.

They definitely have different styles as GGG is a bruiser but one thing about Canelo is if his fans want him to fight someone he will. His fans wanted him to fight Lara and shut him up so he did and he vetoed anything Golden Boy said about not taking the fight. The way I see it, if they were really going to protect Canelo, I dont think he would have ever faced Lara.
